Designed to provide the ultimate surround sound experience, the AVR-1911 delivers a surprising level of features, technology and
performance in an aordable and easy-to-use component. It's also one of the rst to come equipped with HDMI 1.4a features,
including 3D pass-through (Broadcast and Blu-ray), along with Audio Return Channel. The surround decoder features full 32 bit oating
point processing, and handles the latest high resolution audio formats, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, which are
found on many popular Blu-ray releases. As well, the AVR-1911 features Dolby Pro Logic IIz decoding, which provides for an expanded
front soundstage by deriving two additional height channels, as well as providing Music, Movie and Game surround modes with con-
ventional stereo audio sources. Setup is fast and easy thanks to Audyssey MultEQ automatic room acoustic measurement and
correction, and the versatile remote can control other components in your home theater system and is easily programmed.

The AVR-1911 provides an HDMI Video Up-scaling function that
scales analog input video signals to high-denition 1080p signals
and outputs them via the HDMI port to the TV. This not only
makes it unnecessary to connect the TV to the AVR-1911 with
additional cables besides the single HDMI cable, it also lets you
enjoy any video source in refreshingly detailed picture quality.

When you connect the A VR-1911 to a TV with a single HDMI
cabl e, i t s upport s Au dio Return Cha nnel (ARC) (*1) that can
play back the TV a udio in su rround sound. Until now, if you
want ed t o en joy s urroun d sou nd f rom a TV , you nee ded to
use an optica l di gital cable or coaxi al di gital cable to bring
soun d fro m the TV to t he A /V re ceiver. The AVR-1 911’s ARC
feature, however, helps yo u keep cable con nections ne at and
out of the way as you build your home theater.

Vibration-resistant construction has been reviewed to thor-
oughly suppress t he adverse inuences of vibration on so und
quali ty. T he po wer t ransform ers, a sour ce of vibr ation, have
been securely mounted on the highly rigid bottom chassis. Di-
rect mounting of cast-iron feet to the radiator in near proximity
to each othe r se rves to s uppres s mu tual vibra tion with the
power transformers and other sources of vibration.

the AVR-1911 is equipped with a Dolby Pro Logic IIz proces-
sor. By connect ing Front Hei ght speakers and using Dolby Pro

You can also listen to music files from your iPod by simply
connecting it to the AVR-1911’s USB port with the USB
cable that came with the iPod. To start play, just press the
iPod Play button on the AVR-1911 or its remote control
unit. Digital signals from the iPod are transmitted as is to
the AVR-1911 where they pass through the compressed
audio restorer and are processed by advanced audio cir-
cuitry to produce a clean, high-quality sound.

SR/ SBL/ SBR/ SW) for surround playback defined by the
Blu-ray disc format. To enjoy surround playback with the
