EELECTRICAL CONNECTION
- Before using the appliance check that your supply voltage is the same of that shown on the rating label of the unit.
- THIS APPLIANCE CONFORMS TO DIRECTIVE 89/336/CEE GOVERNING RADIO INTER­FERENCE.
INSTALLATION
The appliance can be used as a portable unit only, resting on any horizontal surface.
The appliance must not be positioned directly underneath a fixed power point.
OPERATION
- Summer use (ventilation only): turn the knob clockwise to the position.
- Heating at low power: turn the knob to the 1 position. The pilot lamp switches on.
- Heating at maximum power: turn the knob to the 2 position.
- Setting the thermostat: when the room temperature has reached the desired level, slowly turn the thermostat dial counter-clockwise until the pilot light goes out but no further. The thermostat will now automatically maintain the temperature at the desired level.
- Anti-freeze function With the knob of the thermostat in position , the appliance maintains the room at a temperature of about 5°C, thus preventing freezing with a minimal expenditure of energy.

Switching the heater off: turn the knob fully counter-clockwise to the “O” position. To direct the air flow in the required direction, tilt the appliance manually to one of the two available positions, 1 or 2 (see fig. 2/3).
MAINTENANCE
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning the heater.
- During the season when the appliance is in use, clean the air intake and outlet grille
regularly.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning products or solvents.
WARNINGS
- Do not use the heater in the immediate surrondings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
- Always use the heater in an upright position.
- Do not use the heater to dry your laundry. Never obstruct the intake and outlet grilles (dan­ger of overheating).
- Do not positon the heater in close proximity to curtains or other combustible materials.
- The heater must be positioned at least 50 cm from furniture or other objects.
- The use of extension leads is not reccomended, however if it is necessary then follow care­fully the extension lead’s instructions, and most importantly ensure that the extension lead is correctly rated in accordance with the heater being used and NEVER overloaded.
- When the appliance is used in portable version, do not place it up against walls, furniture, cur­tains, etc.
- The appliance must be installed so that the switches and other controls can not be reached by persons using the bath tub or the shower.
- This appliance comes with a Y-type connection. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- The appliance must not be located directly below a socket-outlet.
- The appliance is not intended for use by young children or the infirm persons without super­vision.
- Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Do not cover the appliance while it is functioning in order to avoid overheating with the attendant risk of fire.
- Do not use the appliance in rooms less than 4 m
2
in area.
The heater is fitted with a safety device which will switch off the heater in case of accidental overheating (eg. obstruction of air intake and outlet grilles, motor turning slowly or not at all). To reset, disconnect the plug from the power for a few minutes, remove the cause of overhea­ting then plug the appliance in again.
Important: never for any reason cover the appliance during operation as this could lead to dangerous overheating.
