A) If your appliance comes tted with a plug, it will incorporate a 13 Amp fuse. If it does not t your socket, the plug should
be cut o from the mains lead, and an appropriate plug tted, as below.
WARNING: Very carefully dispose of the cut o plug after removing the fuse: do not insert in a 13 Amp socket elsewhere in
the house as this could cause a shock hazard.
With alternative plugs not incorporating a fuse, the circuit must be re-tted when changing the fuse using a 13 Amp Asta
approved fuse to BS 1362. In the event of losing the fuse cover, the plug must NOT be used until a replacement fuse cover
can be obtained from your nearest electrical dealer. The colour of the correct replacement fuse cover is that as marked on
the base of the plug.

Important
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
Blue: Neutral
Brown: Live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the
terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal which si marked with the letter L or coloured red.

IMPORTANT WARNINGS
Safety warnings
Danger!
- Do not use the appliance near showers, bathtubs, sinks,
swimming pools, etc.
- Do not use the heater to dry laundry.
- The appliance must be installed with the controls out of
reach of someone taking a bath or shower.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or the manufacturer's Customer Services in
order to avoid all risk.
- The heater is tted with a safety device which switches it
o in the event of accidental overheating (e.g. obstruction
of air intake and outlet grilles, motor turning slowly or not
at all).
To reset, unplug the appliance from the mains socket for a
few minutes, remove the cause of overheating then plug
in again.
- CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent
resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance must not
be powered through an external switching device such as
a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched
on and o by the power provider.
Danger of burns!!
- Do not cover the appliance during operation to avoid the
risk of re.
- IMPORTANT: To avoid overheating, never under
any circumstances cover the appliance during
operation as this would lead to a dangerous rise
in temperature.
- Do not use the appliance near walls, furniture, curtains,
etc.
- Do not obstruct the air input grille or the hot air outlet
grilles (danger of overheating).
Please note:
- The use of extension leads is not recommended.
- The appliance must not be placed immediately under a
xed power socket.
- When used for the rst time, the appliance gives o an
odour due to heating. You are recommended to ventilate
the room.
Important!
- The appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure they
do not play with the appliance.
- The heater must be positioned at least 50 cm from
furniture or other objects.
- Do not use the appliance in rooms with a oor area of less
than 4 m².
Disposing of the appliance
In compliance with European directive 2002/96/EC,
the appliance must not be disposed of with household
waste, but taken to an authorised waste separation
and recycling centre.

Electrical connection
- Before plugging into the mains, make sure the voltage of
your mains supply corresponds to the Volts value indicated
on the appliance and that the socket and power line are
appropriate for the load required.

ON ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY.
Installation
The appliance must be used in the portable conguration only.
This is a household appliance only. The appliance must not be
positioned directly underneath a xed power point.
OPERATION AND USE
Models with function selector and room thermostat
- Turn the thermostat (if present) clockwise as far as it will
go to the maximum position.
- Summer use (fan only): turn the function selector to
position . (if present, the indicator light comes on)
- Low power heating: turn the function selector to “1”.
(if present, the indicator light is on)
- Maximum power heating: turn the function selector to
“2”. (if present, the indicator light is on)
- Turning o: turn the function selector to “0”.
You are recommended to unplug the appliance when not
in use.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Always unplug from the mains socket before cleaning.
- Clean the air intake and output grilles frequently, if
necessary using a vacuum cleaner to remove accumulated
dirt.
- Never use abrasive powders or solvents.
Models with thermostat only
To turn the appliance on, turn the thermostat clockwise as far
as it will go to the maximum position. (if present, the indicator
light comes on).
To turn the appliance o completely, turn the thermostat to
minimum and unplug from the mains.
Adjusting the thermostat
When the room has reached the required temperature, turn the
thermostat slowly anticlockwise until the appliance goes o
and no further.
The thermostat will then keep room temperature at the selected
level automatically.
Freeze protection
Turn the function selector to “2” and the thermostat to .
The appliance is set to maintain a temperature of about 5°C in
the room with minimum energy consumption.
