Image Retention and Burn-In

Displaying an image for anextended period of time can cause an image to remain or burn-in on the screen. Burn-in is a characteristic of all plasma displays.

Using the Self-Test Feature when Connected toaComputer
When your computer is connected tothe TV through VGAconnector you can use the self-testfeature to check whether your TV is functioning properly. Ifyour TV andcomputer are properlyconnected but the TV screen remains dark, run the TV self-test by performing the following steps:

Turn off both your computer and the TV display.

Unplug the video cable from the back of the computer.

Turn on the TV. If the TV cannot sense avideo signal and is working correctly, the floating"

dialog box appears on the screen (against a blackbackground). While in self-test mode, the power lightremains blue and the self-test patternscrolls through the screen continually. This box also appears during normal systemoperationif the video cable becomes disconnected or damaged.

Turn off your TV andreconnect the video cable; then turn on both your computer and theTV. If yourTV screen remains blank,the problem may be with yourcomputer orgraphic card.
