Intended use
The Crivit BS-210 bike speaker is used as intended if it is connected to an audio device (e.g. MP3
player) for the exclusive purpose of playing back music or voice. Any other use is not as intended.
The manufacturer assumes no liability if the bike speaker –
• is not used as intended.
• is put into operation when it is either not completely mounted, or it is damaged or has been
altered.
• its use compromises road safety.

Legal provisions
• The bike speaker may only be connected to audio devices which comply with this device from
a safety perspective and with regard to electromagnetic compatibility and shielding quality
• The bike speaker is a consumer electronics device. It may only be used for private purposes,
not for industrial or commercial purposes. It meets all relevant standards in relation to CE conformity. In case of an alteration to the device that was not agreed by the manufacturer, compliance with these standards is no longer guaranteed. If you use the device outside the Federal
Republic of Germany, you must observe the national laws and regulations of the country in
which you use the device.

Residual risks
• During operation, ensure that the bike speaker does not impair any functions on the bicycle
that are relevant to road safety (lights, brakes, bell etc.) and that the bike speaker is not a
hindrance while riding the bicycle (no limitations to steering angle, brakes and bell easily
accessible etc.).
• Keep electric devices away from children or persons with mental or physical limitations!
Never let such persons use electric devices without supervision. They cannot always recognise possible hazards.
• Small parts can be life-threatening if swallowed.
• Also note that there is a risk of suffocation if air passages are blocked by the plastic pack-
aging.

Operating environment / surrounding conditions
Never expose the bike speaker to extreme heat or sunlight. It could be damaged as a result.
The bike speaker housing only offers limited protection against harmful environmental influences
(impacts, temperature, humidity etc.) for the audio device inside it. The operating conditions of the
audio device continue to apply (see documentation for the audio device).
The bike speaker housing protects the electronics of the speaker and of the audio
device inside it against splashes of water, but it is not waterproof.
• Do not expose the bike speaker to strong or sustained rain, do not submerge it in
liquids or pour liquids over it.
• Always close the zip and slide it closed in such a way that its sliders are turned
away from the rain (see lower figure).
The manufacturer assumes no liability for damages caused by environmental influences.
