CONDTROL.
Safety instructions can be found in this user manual and should be
carefully read before you use the product for the first time.
SAFETY REGULATIONS
The user manual should b e read carefully before you use the product
for the first time. Uni ntended use of the pr oduct can be dan gerous for
human’s health and cause serious injur y. Keep this user manual. If the
produc t is given to somebody for temporar y use, be sure to enclose
user manual to it.
- Do not remove warning signs and protect them from abrasion,
becaus e they contain in formation abo ut safe operati on of the produc t.

- Do not misuse the product.
- Do not disassemble or repair the product your self. Entrust product
repair to qualified personnel and use original spare parts only.

other sources of light. It can lead to errors in measurements and be
harmful to human’s health.
- Keep the product beyo nd reach of children and unautho rized people.
- Do not use the product in explosive environment, close to flammable
materials.
FUNCTIONS/APPLICATIONS
Ranger 3 CONDTROL combines a pulsed laser distance meter and a
telesco pe with eightfold magnification. This laser distance meter is
intended for observation of dis tant objec ts, making measurement s of
distance, angles relative to vertical/horizontal; calculate the height of
objects, location of objects relative to the user, as well as the speed of
moving objects.
High accuracy, quick measurement, low power consumption, wide
temperature range, ease of operation allow to comfortably use the
instrument in building, land management, while travelling and on
vacation, in hunting and sport.
The laser distance meter emits invisible and eye safe infrared laser
pulse which is reflected off the chosen target and returns to the laser
receiving lens. The product c alculates the distance to the target by
measuring the pulse returning time. Maximum measured distance and
measuring accuracy depend on operating conditions (sunny/cloudy,
fair/foggy), on objec t proper ties (size, shape, homogeneit y, color,
surface material).

*Depends on measurement conditions. Accuracy can be reduced in
unfavorable conditions, such as intense sunshine, fog or precipitatio n
or if measurements are made against glossy or transparent sur faces
or surfaces with poor reflec tive properties, moving objec ts or rough

OPERATION
Battery charging
The symbol on display indicates low battery. Use the cable
included in the package for charging. Full charging of the bat tery takes
approximately 2 hours. The LED indicator will b e red while charging.
As soon as the LED indicator turns green, the product is fully charged,
please disconnect the charging cable.

Switch on/off
Short press button to switch o n the produc t.
The product is automatically switched of f in 20 second after the last
press of any button.
When usin g the product as a te lescope, per form the focus adju stment,
so that the target is clearly visible. When using the product as a
distance meter, perform the focus adjustment, so that the data on the
display is clearly visible.
Measuring unit setting
To choose the measurement unit press and hold button «MODE».
The following units can be set:
# Single distance measurement Speed measurement
1 M – meters KM/h – kilometers per hour
2 Y – yards Y/S – yards per second
Single distance measurement
Switch on the product. Symbol «DST» will appear on the display.
Short press button to perform a single distance measurement.
Measurement data appears on the display. If measuring is impossible
(poor signal, measured distance is less than 5 meters) «- - - -» appears
on the display.

Speed measurement mode
Aim the sight at the objec t, then press and hold but ton . Symbol
«SPD» will appear on the display. As long as the object is moving, keep
it in the sight of the telescope. The speed of a moving object will b e
measured in real time and the
result will appear on the display. To stop the mode and save the latest
speed an d measurement resu lt on the display, relea se the button .
CARE AND MAINTETANCE
Attention! The product is a precision device and requires careful
handling. The following recommendations will extend the life of the
product:
- Do not point the produc t at the sun or any other sources of light;
- The optics fogging, condens ation inside the produc t may lead to
failures in operation;
- Protect the produc t from bumps, falls, and excessive vibration; do
not let liquids, construction dust and foreign objects get inside the
product.
- If liquids get inside the product please contact a service center.
- Do not store or use the product under high humidity conditions for
a long time.
- Keep the optics clean and protect it from mechanical damage;
- Clean the product with a clean sof t dry cloth;
-Сarry out control measurements occasionally, especially if the
produc t is subject to ex cessive mechan ical or other impa ct, before and
after making important measurements.
