Paper Deck-Q1 Instllation Procedure
Follow the instructions herein when installing the Paper Deck-Q1 to its host machine.

1.1 Making Pre-Checks
1.1.1 Selecting an Installation Site
As for an installation site, select a place which has enough space to perform jam clearing and other copying works
smoothly.
Keep in mind to avoid a place (i.e., bumps, slope) where floor conditions differ between the floors on which the
machine and host machine are installed.

1.2 Unpacking and Chacking the Components
1.2.1 Unpacking and Checking the Components
Open the package of the machine, and check to make sure that the following parts are all included.

1.3 Preparation Before Installation

1.3.1 Turning Off the Host Machine
iR C3100 Series
Before starting the work, be sure to go through the following on the host machine:
1. Turn off the control panel power switch.
2. Turn off the main power switch.
3. Disconnect the power cable (from the power outlet).

iR2000 Series
Be sure to go through the following steps on the host machine before starting the work
1. Hold down the control panel power switch for 3 sec or more.
2. Go through the shutdown sequence as instructed on the screen so that you may turn off the main power switch.
3. Turn off the main power switch.
4. Disconnect the power cable (from the wall outlet).

Before starting installation to the host machine, be sure of the following:
- The host machine, pedestal, and accessories power supply PCB have properly been installed
If any of the following is to be installed at the same time, be sure to observe the indicated order:

[3] Side Paper Deck-Q1
[4] Finisher-Q1/Q3
(Saddle Finisher-Q2/Q4)
[1] Rely delivery assembly

1.4 Installation Procedure
1.4.1 Attaching to the Host
Machine
1) Remove the inner blanking cover of the host
machine.
1-1) Open the right door of the host machine, and open
the lower right door of the 2-level cassette pedestal;
Shift the lock [1] to the arrow direction shown in
the fig.
1-4)Attach the right door to the main unit, and then set
the lock.
2)Remove the 2 right covers (lower right [1], lower
rear[2]) of the host machine.
2-1) Remove the 2 right covers (lower front [1], rear
[2]) from the host machine.

3) Remove the 4 blanking parts [3] found at the 2 right
covers with nippers or the like.

1-2) Remove the right door.
1-3) Remove the 2 screws [1] of the right door, and
detach the inner blanking plate [3] while pushing
the 2 claws [2].
