CPU fan fixed by hot melt adhesive and metal pins.
1. Phenomenon
Because CPU fan is displaced, LED0, 1, 2 and 3 tend to keep lighting in red when the power is turned ON.
2. Cause
CPU fan is displaced easily because pins fixed the CPU fan tend to displace during the shipment. In this case, when
the power is turned ON, LED0, 1, 2 and 3 tend to keep lighting in red.
3. Countermeasure in Factory
The temporary countermeasure is to fix the pins for CPU fan that is fixed on the motherboard from the back of the
motherboard by the hot melt adhesive. The permanent countermeasure is to use the metal pins instead of plastic pins.
4. Countermeasure in Field
When you replace a current CPU fan or plastic pins, please replace them as CPU fan with metal pins(FH9-0779-000).
CPU fan with metal pins is supplied as an assembled unit for service parts.
Note: Hot melt adhesive can be easily removed for the replacement of CPU fan in the fields.
