SUBJECT: REPLACEMENT OF DEV HVT FM2-0528-000 FOR LEGAL

Detail:

The degree of electromagnetic wave, generated from the Dev HVT PCB assembly
FM2-0528-000 exceeds the legal European requirements. It is important to note that
this creates no health and safety concerns for the customer and will have no effect on
copy quality.

A small number of iR6800Cs have been sent out from the factory with this problem,
please see attached serial numbers.
To re-work these machines in the warehouse would take at least 1.5 hours per
machine, based on un-boxing, setting up, installing HVT, testing and re-boxing. For a
technician to undertake this work during the installation of the product would only take
an additional 15 mins.
It has therefore been decided to place the new HVT into the iR6800C main carton,
together with this service information.
In the case of Canon France and Canon UK, some machines have already been
delivered to the customers. In this case a covering amount of HVTs will be sent to you
for your technicians, to fit during their next service visit.
Note: Please note that a self adhesive red dot should be placed next to the machine
serial number, once the HVT has been replaced.
