media and do not touch with bare hands.
General hazardous situations.
To prevent injury, ensure the following:
▶ Ensure that the system cannot be activated unintentionally.
• Do not place a physical load on the housing (e.g. by placing objects on it or standing on it).
• Do not make any external alterations to the housing of the device. Do not paint housing parts or screws.

and in consideration of the operating instructions.
▶ The general rules of technology must be observed for applica-
tion planning and operation of the device.
NOTE!
Electrostatic sensitive components/modules!
• The device contains electronic components which react sensitively to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Contact with electrostatically charged persons or objects are hazardous to these components. In the worst case scenario, they will be destroyed immediately or will fail after start-up.
• Observe the requirements in accordance with DIN EN 61340-5-1/5-2 to minimize or avoid the possibility of damage caused by sudden electrostatic discharge!
• Also, ensure that you do not touch electronic components when the power supply voltage is present!

5 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
Due to the high reproducibility, the unit, which operates according to the diaphragm pump principle, is suitable for the precise dosing of very small fluid quantities in the µl range.
The dosing unit can also be used for aggressive media as highquality materials are used for the parts that come in contact with the media.
The structure of the unit with active inlet and discharge valves enables a bidirectional supply. The electronic control systems are integrated in the unit.
The supply rate of the dosing unit is dependent on the viscosity of the supplied medium and the flow resistances up- and downstream of the dosing unit (e.g. hose system).
5.1 Conformity
The micro dosing unit Type 7615 conforms to the EC directives according to the EC Declaration of Conformity.

8.3 Dosing quantity
The dosing unit is set to a pumping volume of 5µl/pump stroke as standard. This value cannot be changed.
8.4 Selecting the dosing mode
By default, the dosing unit is configured so that it doses at a frequency of 5 Hz once the power supply voltage is connected. The dosing mode can be pre-selected on the rotary switch for the electronics once the cover has been removed (see “Fig. 6: Setting the dosing mode”).
DANGER!
Risk of electric shock!
▶ Before reaching into the device or equipment, switch off the power
supply and secure to prevent reactivation!
▶ Only adequately trained personnel may reach into the device!

For servicing purposes: Following connection of the power supply voltage, the unit operates at a frequency of 5 Hz for precisely 100 pumping cycles and then stops.
The supply rate can be checked using this function.
