1 GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
To ensure that the device functions correctly, and will have a long service life, please comply with the information in these Operating Instructions, as well as the application conditions and additional data given in the Type 6227 data sheet:
• When planning the application of the device, and during its operation, observe the general technical rules!
• Work on the device should only be carried out by specialist staff using suitable tools!
english
• Please note: Piping or valves should not be removed from a system which is under pressure!
• Always switch off the voltage supply before working on the system!
• Take suitable measures to prevent unintentional operation or impermissible impairment.
• If these instructions are ignored, or if inadmissible work is carried out on the device, no liability will be accepted from our side, and the guarantee on the device and accessory parts will become invalid!
ATTENTION!
Danger of injury! The surface of the solenoid valve can become very hot during continuous operation.
2 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
2.1 Construction of the valve
Modular, combinable valve system of 2/2-way solenoid valves, which work as pilot-controlled diaphragm seat valves.
Available in nominal widths: DN10 and DN13
Operation: WWA, i.e. closed when off

Continual pressure surges can shorten the service life of the diaphragm!
3 INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING
3.1 Installation
Î Before installing the valve, clean the piping system!
Î Where necessary, fit a strainer upstream to protect against faults!
Î Observe the direction of flow!
Î Seal the thread using PTFE tape.
Î When installing the valve, ensure that the valve block is not distorted:
- provide adequate support for the piping system
- align the piping system
Maximum permissible torque Mt: for G 3/4" connections from plastic: 4 Nm
Maximum permissible bending moment MB: for all connections: 6 Nm

ATTENTION!
4 - 6227
Do not use the pilot valve as a lever when screwing in the pipe connection!
Do not distort the valve housing during the installation!
Max. ambient temperature for continuous operation: +55 °C!
3.2 Electrical connection
• The voltage, electrical power, pressure range and nominal width can be found on the name plate.
• Voltage tolerance: ± 10%
• Electrical connection: Instrument socket Type 2508 to the connection plug pin of the coil; Fixing torque: 0.5 Nm
ATTENTION!
Î Ensure that the maximum operating conditions (see
name plate) are not exceeded!
Î Always connect the protective conductor!
Î Always follow the warning instructions on the coil,
particularly for coils which require rectifiers!
Î When screwing the coil and the instrument socket
together, ensure that the seal is properly seated!
3.3 Measures to be taken before installation
Î Before the installation, check:
- fluid and electrical connections
- Operational pressure
- Voltages
- Type of current.
