Parts
Contents:
• Springs (3)
• Actuator
• Rubber O-ring
Parts included:
THE SPRINGS: The three springs included with this kit will actually slide inside of existing springs in the valve
body to help add pressure to the existing springs.
ACTUATOR: This actuator will replace one of the existing actuators in the valve body.
RUBBER O-RING: The o-ring included with the kit goes around the new actuator. In the photo above the O-
ring is already on the actuator.

Removing Valve Body
REMOVING THE TRANMISSION VALVE BODY
Important: When dismantling the valve body, be careful to store all of the parts in a safe place to prevent them
from being lost. It is also very important to keep all the parts clean.
1. Remove the transmission oil from the pan; some transmission pans do not have drain plugs, so the pan will
need to be tipped to the side to drain the oil. You will need to use a 10 mm socket to remove the bolts that attach
the pan to the transmission.
2. Inside the transmission are three valve bodies. The one to be removed is the one farthest forward, it is the
valve body that is highlighted in the photo below. This valve body is held in place by eleven 8mm bolts and two
10mm nuts.
3. Once removed, place the valve body onto a clean work area to remove the valves, it is important that no dirt
or particles get into the valve body.

VALVE BODY MODIFICATIONS
The diagram below shows the dierent shift plug locations and the actuator location for reference.

SHIFT PLUG
SHIFT PLUG
SHIFT PLUG
1. Remove the retaining clip from the valve body that is holding the shift plug by placing a ¼ in. bolt into the
shift plug and slightly pushing it in to relieve the pressure of the clip then remove the clip with a pick tool.
2. Using the ¼ in. bolt, move the rst of the three shift plugs with a side to side motion to gain access to the
spring as seen in the photo below. Remove the spring and place the new Bully Dog Spring inside the old spring
as seen in the photo.

Modications
3. Replace the shift plug and retaining clip and use the same procedure on the other two shift plugs located on
the valve body.
4. To remove the actuator, simply press in on the actuator face to relieve tension and then remove the retaining
clip that holds the actuator in place.
5. Replace the existing actuator with the new Bully Dog actuator. Make sure the new O-Ring is in place on the
actuator. Put the new actuator in the valve body and place the retaining clip back in place to hold the new part.
ORING
9. The valve body is now ready to be placed back in the truck. Clean the valve body thoroughly, place the valve
body back in the truck and tighten the bolts to 8-10 ft-lb of torque. Do the same with the 2 nuts.
10. Replace the pan and all the bolts and rell the transmission with Bully Dog Technologies Rapid Power ATF.
Check for leaks and enjoy the power.
