To allow the reflective/black mark sensor to detect the mark and feed the media to the correct position, use
paper with a black mark on the detection range of the sensor.
Use paper that meets any of the following conditions so that the reflective/black mark sensor can detect
the mark correctly.
Paper with a Black Mark from the Left End to the Right End (Recommended) 0
Use paper that meets the conditions described in the illustration below.
You can use the paper regardless of model differences.
Although the detection range of the reflective/black mark sensor differs depending on the printer model
being used, the black mark described in the illustration is long enough to cover the detection range of
the sensor regardless of models.
Paper with a Black Mark on the Detection Range of the Reflective / Black Mark
Sensor 0
Use paper that meets the conditions described in the illustrations below.
Confirm the model name of your printer and make sure that the length of the black mark is appropriate for
your printer.
RJ-4030, RJ4030Ai, RJ-4040 0 RJ-4230B, RJ-4250WB 0
Since the detection range of the reflective/black mark sensor differs depending on the printer model
being used, the appropriate length of the black mark also differs by models.
