BOSE LATCH CATCH Schematic

LATCH CATCH REPLACEMENT KIT INSTRUCTIONS

1. Using a chisel or sharp instrument, remove any remaining pieces of the plastic latch catch.

Remove all plastic to provide a smooth channel. This assures that the replacement catch will fit
flush against the 802 speaker cabinet.

2. Remove the two pinch clinches (1) that secure the grille (2) to the enclosure. Lift the grille off.

3. Remove the 3 screws holding the 4-1/2 inch driver (3) that is located closest to the latch

being repaired.

4. Carefully lift the driver out of the cabinet. Do not disconnect the wires. Place driver on the
cabinet, out of the way.

5. Place the new latch catch so that the catch fits down as low on cabinet area as possible.
Using a center punch or scribe, mark the cabinet where the screw hole is to be made.

6. Take a drill with a 5/32 bit (clearance for a #6 bolt) and carefully drill through the cabinet.

7. Using the hardware enclosed, bolt the new catch in place. The bolt head should be on the

outside of the cabinet and the nut on the inside. Make sure that the nut is held securely inside
the speaker cabinet while tightening the bolt.

8. Remount the loose driver with the 3 screws.
