The FAD‑325 ‑DH Analog Duct Smoke Detector
Replacement is a replacement detector for the
FAD‑325 Duct Smoke Detector Housing. It detects
smoke particles which typically result from wood,
paper, and fabric combustion. Use it in heating,
ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
It uses a LED and photodiode to measure particulate
levels in its detection chamber. These measurements
are transmitted via the DCP protocol to the fire panel.

Functions

Fire Panel Connections

The detector is controlled by a microprocessor and
communicates with the fire panel (both power and
data) over a two‑wire polling circuit.

Sensitivity levels

The system allows for adjusting sensitivity levels by
the detector over a range of 0.88 %/ft to 2.75 %/ft
(2.9%/m to 9%/m) obscuration. The unique detection
chamber design prevents external light from affecting
the photodiode.

Status Display

The detector has two LEDs that flash every time the

The FAD‑325‑DH installs quickly and easily into the
FAD‑325 Analog Duct Housing to replace the detector.
The FAD‑325‑DH attaches to the FAD‑325 Analog Duct
Smoke Detector Housing by inserting the detector into
a groove on the base and turning the detector
clockwise.

Head

Two‑wire replacement detector for the FAD‑325 and
FAD‑325‑R duct housings has adjustable threshold
smoke level and automatic compensation values. It has
EEPROM addressing with the D5070, two polling and
detector status LEDs for 360º view, and easy removal
for cleaning and servicing.
