The D293 Series includes the D293A Four‑wire
Detector Base with Auxiliary Form C Relay, the D293E
Four‑wire Power Supervision Detector Base, and the
D293S Four‑wire Detector Base with Sounder. Use
these bases with smoke and heat detector heads to
provide early fire warning for life safety and property
protection systems. This base is compatible with a
number of control panels and with the following Bosch
Security Systems, Inc.'s' detector heads:
• D285 Photoelectric Smoke Detector Head
• D285TH Photoelectric Smoke Detector with Heat

• D286 Ionization Smoke Detector Head

Mounting Considerations
Depending on local regulations, the bases can be
surface mounted using anchors, mollies, or wing nuts.
The bases can be directly mounted on single‑gang
switch boxes or mounted on four‑inch octagonal
electrical boxes using the supplied adaptor plate.
Notice
Ensure the volume of any electrical box used
accommodates the number and size of conductors
as specified by the National Electrical Code (NEC)
or any local regulations having jurisdiction.
