The D222A Series Keypads have liquid crystal displays
(LCD) that are strategically placed, easy to read, and
bright enough to be visible from a distance. Most
users can operate the keypad with confidence after
only a few minutes of instruction, eliminating the need
for extensive training sessions.

Functions

Programmable Idle and Point Text

Text that shows in the display when the system is idle
is programmable. The text used to identify up to 24
points is also programmable allowing clear
identification of the sensor that is in alarm or trouble.

Provides Four Expansion Points

Allows the addition of four loops each terminated by a
one kΩ EOL resistor.

Coded Sounder

The sounder uses coded tones to provide alarm,
trouble, watch, entry and exit delay, error, and other
annunciation. Some tones can be enabled, disabled,
and otherwise altered by programming.

Three Programmable Emergency Keys

Along with the 11 action keys, there are three
programmable keys that can be programmed for
specific functions, such as Emergency, Fire, or Panic.
Single key operation controls many of the basic
functions. All of the keys illuminate during entry delay
and when a key is pressed. Custom labeling is
provided for all the keys except the "CLEAR" key.

Installation/configuration notes

The D222A and D222AW Keypads are compatible with
D2212B and D2212BE Control Panels.

Refer to the control panel’s installation manual for
information on the maximum number of keypads that
can be used with the specific system. Regardless of
the system or the number of keypads being wired in
parallel, the maximum wire length for all keypads
combined is 152 m (500 ft) of 0.8 mm (22 AWG) wire.
