Description Profinia urea packs contain
high-purity chromatography
grade urea which is ideal for
solubilizing and denaturing
proteins in E. coli extracts.
Storage Store between 4°C and 22°C
Instructions Add the entire contents of the
for use 90 g pack to the 176 ml of
Profinia Denaturing IMAC
Lysis Buffer (#620-0209) or
Profinia Denaturing IMAC
W ash Buffer 1 (#620-0210) to
make 250 ml of a 6 M urea
solution. Add the entire contents
of the 45 g pack to the 88 ml of
Profinia Denaturing IMAC
W ash Buffer 2 (#620-0211) or
Profinia Denaturing IMAC

Elution Buffer (#620-0212) to
make 125 ml of a 6 M urea
solution. Stir to dissolve, and
filter through a 0.45 µm filter to
remove any particulates. Fresh
urea solutions should be prepared
and used the day of
chromatography. Unused
solutions can be stored at 4° C
and be used within 7 days, or
stored at –20°C for up to 6
months and thawed once prior
to use.
Shelf life The urea packs are stable for at
least 2 years from date of
receipt. Refer to the specific
expiration date on the product
label.
