Read the operating instructions carefully before
using the appliance for the first time and preserve
this booklet for later reference. Pass the manual on
to whomsoever might acquire the appliance at a la­ter date.

Intended Use

• This appliance is not for commercial or outdoor
use.

• The electric water kettle is exclusively suitable
for heating water and may not be used for hea­ting other liquids.

Safety instructions

• Use the electric water kettle only for the inten­ded purpose and in accordance with this user
manual.

 Danger of electrical shock

• Make sure that the base with the electrical con­nections does not come into contact with water!
Let the base dry completely before using, should
it ever accidentally become wet.

• Make sure that the power cord never becomes
wet or damp during operation. Lay the cord
such that it cannot be pinched or otherwise
damaged.

• Arrange for defective power plugs and/or
cables to be replaced as soon as possible by a
qualified technician or by our Customer Service
Department to avoid the risk of injury.

• Always pull the plug out of the power socket
after use. Switching off the device is not suffi­cient because the device receives power as long
as the power plug is connected to the socket.

• Use the appliance only if the local mains volta­ge complies with the rated voltage of the appli­ance (230 V for 50 Hz).

 Fire hazard! / Risk of injury!

• Always heat the water with a closed lid, other­wise the automatic cut out may not work. Boiling
water can then spray out over the edge.

• Hot vapours may leak out and the electric water
kettle may be very hot while in operation. It is
always best to wear oven mitts when handling
the kettle.

• Make sure that the appliance is placed on a sta­ble and vertical base, before you switch on the
appliance. Boiling water can cause an unstabile
kettle to fall over.

• Do not leave a heat generating appliance
unsupervised!

• Do not allow individuals (including children) to
use the appliance whose physical, sensorial or
mental abilities or lack of experience and know­ledge hinder their safe usage of it if they have
not previously been supervised or instructed in
its correct usage.

• Tell children about the appliance and its potenti­al dangers so that they do not play with it.

You can thus prevent the appliance
from being damaged

• Use the kettle  only in the base station provi-
ded for the same . Do not use the base sta­tion  for any other purposes.

• Do not expose the base station  to any liquids
and protect it from splashes.

• Do not separate the kettle  from the base sta­tion  while the appliance is in operation.
Always switch off the appliance first.

• An improper use or handling of the appliance
may lead the appliance to malfunction and
cause injuries to the user.

• No liabilities shall be accepted for damages
caused by improper or wrong use.

Before the First Use

1. Remove all the packaging material!

2. Clean the kettle , by pouring water into it and

bringing it to a boil (See "Operation“). Pour out
the water and repeat the process.

Operation

1. Pull the power cord out only as much as is
necessary. Pull it out by opening the base sta­tion  and connect the plugs with an appropri­ate power socket.

2. Open the lid and fill in with the desired quan­tity of water. Please note the level indicator 
of the appliance.
Fill the kettle ...

- atleast up to the MIN mark, so as not to over­heat the electric water kettle.
– no higher than the MAX mark so that no boi­ling water spills out.

3. Close the lid and place the appliance on the
base station . The appliance can only be swit­ched on if it is fixed to the base station.

4. Keep the On/Off switch  on „ “- position.
The appliance begins to operate, the indicator
lamp  begins to flash.

5. If the water is boiling the appliance switches off
automatically. The On/Off switch  automati­cally moves to the "O“ position, the indicator
lamp  turns off.

6. If you want to stop or interrupt the boiling pro­cess, keep the On/Off switch  on the "O“
position.
However, you can continue the boiling process
by waiting for 20 seconds until the heating ele­ment has cooled off. You can then switch on the
appliance once again.
During the cooling phase, do not press the
on/off switch , as this can damage the appli-
ance.

7. While the appliance is not in use, unplug the
power cord from the socket, so as to prevent the
appliance from an inadvertent start.

Note: The appliance has a safety device. This swit­ches off the heating element, if the appliance is
switched on when empty or is cooking dry. In such
a condition, allow the appliance to cool off com­pletely, before pouring in water again.
For safety reasons and to avoid injuries do not
open the lid when the water is boiling or very hot.

Cleaning

 Please follow the safety instructions as well.

 Always unplug the power cord from the soc-

ket, before cleaning the appliance. Allow the
kettle  to cool down completely.

• Clean the outer side of the kettle and the base
station with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use any
abrasive materials.

• Decalcify the appliance at regular intervals. For
this use a decalcifying agent available with spe­cialised dealers.

Disposal

Do not dispose of the appliance in your
normal domestic waste.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved
disposal centre or at your community waste facility.
Observe the currently applicable regulations. In
case of doubt, please contact your waste
disposal centre.

Dispose of the packaging materials in an
environmentally responsible manner .

Warranty and Service

This appliance is guaranteed for 3 years from the
date of purchase. It has been carefully produced
and meticulously checked before delivery. Please
keep your receipt as proof of purchase. Contact
your service centre by telephone in case of ques­tions pertaining to the warranty.
Your goods can be transmitted free of cost only in
this manner.

The warranty covers only material or manufactu­ring faults, not normal wear or damage to fragile
parts such as switches or rechargeable batteries.
The appliance is intended solely for private, not
commercial, use. If this product has been subjected
to improper or inappropriate handling, abuse, or
interventions not carried out by one of our authori­sed sales and service outlets, the warranty will be
considered void. This warranty does not affect your
statutory rights.

Lue käyttöohje huolellisesti ennen ensimmäistä käyt­töä ja säilytä se myöhempää käyttöä varten. Jos
myyt laitteen, anna ohje myös seuraavalle omistajal­le.

Käyttötarkoitus

• Laitetta ei ole tarkoitettu kaupalliseen käyttöön
eikä sitä saa käyttää ulkona.

• Vedenkeitin on tarkoitettu ainoas-taan veden
kuumentamiseen. Sitä ei saa käyttää muiden
nesteiden kuumentamiseen.

Turvallisuusohjeita

• Käytä vedenkeitintä vain sen käyttötarkoituksen
ja tämän käyttöohjeen mukaisesti.

 Sähköiskun vaara!

• Varmista, ettei elektronisia liitäntöjä sisältävä
jalusta joudu milloinkaan kosketuksiin veden
kanssa!
Anna jalustan ensin kuivua kokonaan, jos se on
vahingossa kostunut.

• Pidä huolta siitä, ettei virtajohto kastu konetta
käytettäessä. Vedä virtajohto siten, ettei johto
tartu, puristu tai vaurioidu muulla tavalla.

• Anna valtuutetun ammattihenkilöstön vaihtaa
vaurioitunut verkkojohto tai verkkopistoke välittö­mästi uuteen vaarojen välttämiseksi.

• Irrota pistoke pistorasiasta aina käytön jälkeen.
Pelkästään virran katkaiseminen ei riitä, koska
laitteessa on virta niin kauan, kunnes pistoke
irrotetaan pistorasiasta.

• Käytä laitetta vain silloin kun paikallinen verkko­jännite vastaa laitteen nimellisvirtaa
(230 V / 50 Hz).

 Tulipalon vaara! /

Loukkaantumisvaara!

• Pidä laitteen kansi suljettuna aina kun keität
vettä, koska muutoin laitteen sammutusautomati­ikka ei toimi. Lisäksi kiehuva vesi saattaa roiskua
reunan yli.

• Laitteesta voi purkautua kuumaa vesihöyryä ja
se on käytön aikana erittäin kuuma. Siksi on jär­kevää käyttää patakintaita.

• Varmista, että laite on tukevasti paikallaan pysty­suorassa asennossa ennen kuin kytket sen pääl­le. Jos laite ei ole tukevasti paikallaan, kiehuva
vesi voi kaataa sen.

• Älä koskaan jätä päällekytkettyä laitetta ilman
valvontaa.

• Älä anna laitetta sellaisten henkilöiden (mukaan
lukien lapset) käyttöön, joiden fyysiset, aistilliset
tai henkiset kyvyt tai kokemuksen ja tiedon puute
estävät heitä käyttämästä laitetta turvallisesti, jol­lei heitä ole aikaisemmin valvottu tai opastettu
laitteen käytössä.

• Selvitä lapsille laite ja sen vaarat, jotta he eivät
leikkisi laitteella.

Vaurioiden välttämiseksi

• Käytä vesipannua  vain sille tarkoitetussa
alustassa . Älä käytä alustaa  mihinkään
muihin tarkoituksiin.

• Suojaa alusta  kosteudelta ja roiskeilta.

• Älä koskaan irrota vesipannua  käytön aikana
alustalta . Kytke laite aina ensin pois päältä.

• Laitteen epäasiallinen käytön seurauksena saat­taa olla laitteen vaurioituminen tai käyttäjän
loukkaantuminen.

• Valmistaja ei ole vastuussa laitteen epäasiallise­sta käytöstä aiheutuneista vahingoista.

Ennen ensimmäistä
käyttöä

1. Poista laite pakkauksesta!

2. Puhdista veden keittämiseen tarkoitettu pannu 

(katso „Käyttö“). Kaada vesi pois ja
toista tämä toiminto uudelleen.

Käyttö

1. Vedä johtoa ulos vain tarvittava määrä. Vedä se

alustan  aukon kautta ulos ja työnnä pistoke
pistorasiaan.

2. Avaa kansi ja lisää vesipannuun haluttu määrä

vettä. Tarkkaile samalla laitteen vesimääränäyt­töä . Täytä vesipannu ...

- vähintään MIN-merkkiin, jotta vedenkeitin ei yli­kuumene.

- enintään MAX-merkkiin, jotta ulos ei roisku kie­huvaa vettä.

3 Sulje kansi ja aseta laite alustalle . Laite voi-

daan kytkeä päälle vain silloin, kun sen on alu­stalla.

4. Aseta virtakytkin  „ “-asentoon. Laite aloit-
taa toiminnan ja merkkivalo  syttyy.

5. Kun vesi kiehuu, laite sammuu automaattisesti.
Virtakytkin  ponnahtaa automaattisesti „O“-
asentoon ja merkkivalo  sammuu.

6. Jos haluat pysäyttää tai keskeyttää veden keittä­misen, aseta virtakytkin  „O“-asentoon. Voit jat­kaa keittämistä. Odota kuitenkin 20 sekuntia, jotta
laitteen kuuma osa on viilentynyt. Sen jälkeen
voit uudelleen kytkeä laitteeseen virran päälle.
Älä paina virtakytkintä , kun vedenkeitin on
viilenemässä. Se voi johtaa laitteen vahingoittu­miseen.

7. Vedä pistoke irti pistorasiasta, kun et käytä laitet­ta. Näin vältät sen tahattoman käynnistymisen.

Ohje: Vedenkeittimessä on varoke. Se kytkee
kuuman osan pois päältä, jos laite menee tyhjänä
päälle tai yrittää keittää vettä, kun se on kuiva.
Anna tällaisessa tilanteessa laitteen viilentyä kunnol­la, ennen kuin käytät sitä uudelleen.
Turvallisuussyistä älä avaa kantta veden kiehuessa
tai sen ollessa vielä hyvin kuumaa. Palovammojen
vaara!

Puhdistus

 Ota laitteen turvaohjeet huomioon.

Vedä pistoke aina irti pistorasiasta ennen alu­stan puhdistusta. Anna vesipannun  viilentyä
kunnolla.

• Puhdista vesipannun ulkopuoli ja alus-ta pehme­ällä, kuivalla pyyhkeellä. Älä käytä hiovia mate­riaaleja.

• Poista kalkki laitteesta säännöllisin väliajoin.
Käytä siihen asiaankuuluvaa kalkinpoistoainetta.
