Warum Tageslichtanwendung?

Wenn im Herbst die Sonnenscheindauer spürbar abnimmt und Menschen sich in den Wintermonaten verstärkt drinnen aufhalten, kann es zu Lichtmangelerscheinungen kommen. Diese werden oft als „Winterdepression“ bezeichnet. Die Symptome können vielseitig auftreten:

Ursache für das Auftreten dieser Symptome ist die Tatsache, dass Licht und speziell das Sonnenlicht lebenswichtig ist und direkt auf den menschlichen Körper einwirkt. Sonnenlicht steuert indirekt die Produktion von Melatonin, welches nur bei Dunkelheit in das Blut abgegeben wird. Dieses Hormon zeigt dem Körper, dass Schlafenszeit ist. In den sonnenarmen Monaten ist daher eine vermehrte Produktion von Melatonin vorhanden. Dadurch fällt es schwerer aufzustehen, da die Körperfunktionen heruntergefahren sind. Wird die Tageslichtlampe unmittelbar nach dem morgendlichen Aufwachen angewandt, also möglichst früh, kann die Produktion von Melatonin beendet werden, so dass es zu einem positiven Stimmungsumschwung kommen kann. Zudem wird bei Lichtmangel die Produktion des Glückshormons Serotonin behindert, welches maßgeblich unser „Wohlbefinden“ beeinflusst. Es handelt sich bei Lichtanwendung also um quantitative Veränderungen von Hormonen und Botenstoffen im Gehirn, die unser Aktivitätsniveau, unsere Gefühle und das Wohlbefinden beeinflussen können. Um einem derartig hormonellen Ungleichgewicht entgegen zu wirken, können Tageslichtlampen einen geeigneten Ersatz für das natürliche Sonnenlicht schaffen. Im medizinischen Bereich werden Tageslichtlampen in der Lichttherapie gegen Lichtmangelerscheinungen eingesetzt. Tageslichtlampen simulieren Tageslicht über 10.000 Lux. Dieses Licht kann auf den menschlichen Körper einwirken und behandelnd oder vorbeugend eingesetzt werden. Normales elektrisches Licht hingegen reicht nicht aus, um auf den Hormonhaushalt einzuwirken. Denn in einem gut ausgeleuchteten Büro beträgt die Beleuchtungsstärke beispielsweise gerade einmal 500 Lux.

Sicherheitshinweise Warnung

• Die Tageslichtlampe ist nur für die Bestrahlung des menschlichen Körpers vorgesehen.

• Das Gerät ist nicht für den gewerblichen oder klinischen Gebrauch gedacht, sondern nur für den persönlichen, häuslichen Gebrauch.

• Das Gerät ist für häusliche Gesundheitsanwendungen geeignet. Zur Verwendung des Gerätes ist keine besondere Einweisung nötig.

• Vor dem Gebrauch ist sicherzustellen, dass das Gerät und Zubehör keine sichtbaren Schäden aufweisen und jegliches Verpackungsmaterial entfernt wird. Benutzen Sie es im Zweifelsfall nicht und wenden Sie sich an Ihren Händler oder an die angegebene Kundendienstadresse.

• Achten Sie ebenso auf einen sicheren Stand der Tageslichtlampe.

• Das Gerät darf nur an die auf dem Typschild angegebene Netzspannung angeschlossen werden.

• Tauchen Sie das Gerät nicht in Wasser und verwenden Sie es nicht in Nassräumen.

• Nicht bei Hilflosen, Kindern unter 3 Jahren oder wärmeunempfindlichen Personen (Personen mit krankheitsbedingten Hautveränderungen), nach der Einnahme von schmerzlindernden Medikamenten, Alkohol oder Drogen verwenden.

• Halten Sie Kinder vom Verpackungsmaterial fern (Erstickungsgefahr!).

• Achten Sie darauf, dass Kinder das Gerät nicht als Spielzeug verwenden.

• Das Gerät darf im erwärmten Zustand nicht ab- oder zugedeckt oder verpackt aufbewahrt werden.

• Ziehen Sie stets das Netzteil und lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen, ehe Sie es anfassen.

• Das Gerät darf im angeschlossenen Zustand nicht mit feuchten Händen angefasst werden; es darf kein Wasser auf das Gerät spritzen. Das Gerät darf nur im vollständig trockenen Zustand betrieben werden.

• Achten Sie darauf das Netzteil nur mit trockenen Händen ein- und auszustecken, sowie die EIN/AUS-Taste nur mit trockenen Händen zu berühren.

• Halten Sie die Netzleitung von warmen Objekten und offenen Flammen fern.

• Schützen Sie das Gerät vor stärkeren Stößen.

• Das Netzteil nicht an der Netzleitung aus der Steckdose herausziehen. Greifen Sie direkt am Netzteil, um das Netzteil aus der Steckdose herauszuziehen.

• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn es Schäden aufweist oder nicht ordnungsgemäß funktioniert. Kontaktieren Sie in diesen Fällen den Kundendienst.

• Wenn die Netzanschlussleitung dieses Geräts beschädigt wird, muss sie entsorgt werden. Ist sie nicht abnehmbar, muss das Gerät entsorgt werden.

• Der Stecker dient zur Trennung der Stromversorgung. Positionieren Sie das Gerät so, dass Sie jederzeit ohne Umstände den Stecker von der Stromversorgung trennen können.

•

Die Trennung vom Versorgungsnetz ist nur gewährleistet, wenn das Netzteil aus der Steckdose gezogen ist.

• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht in der Gegenwart von entflammbaren Narkosegas-Verbindungen mit Luft, Sauerstoff oder Stickstoffoxid.

• An diesem Gerät müssen Sie keine Kalibrierung und keine vorbeugenden Kontrollen und Instandhaltungen durchführen.

• Sie können das Gerät nicht reparieren. Es enthält keine Teile, die sie reparieren können.

• Verändern Sie nichts am Gerät ohne Erlaubnis des Herstellers.

• Wenn das Gerät verändert wurde, müssen gründliche Tests und Kontrollen durchgeführt werden, um die weitere Sicherheit bei fortführender Benutzung des Geräts zu gewährleisten.

Allgemeine Hinweise Achtung

• Wenn Sie eine Augenoperation hatten, konsultieren Sie vor der Benutzung einen Arzt.

• Wenn bei Ihnen eine Augenerkrankung diagnostiziert wurde, bei der Sie helles Licht vermeiden sollen, konsultieren Sie vor der Benutzung einen Arzt.

• Wenn Sie an schweren Depressionen leiden, konsultieren Sie vor der Benutzung einen Arzt.

• Wenn Ihre Haut empfindlich auf Licht reagiert (z.B. systemischer Lupus erythematodes), konsultieren Sie vor der Benutzung einen Arzt.

• Bei Einnahme von Medikamenten wie Schmerzmittel, Blutdrucksenkern und Antidepressiva sollte vorher mit dem Arzt über den Einsatz der Tageslichtlampe gesprochen werden.

• Bei Menschen mit Netzhauterkrankungen sollte vor Beginn der Tageslichtanwendung genauso wie bei Dia betikern eine Untersuchung beim Augenarzt gemacht werden.

• Bitte nicht anwenden bei Augenkrankheiten wie Grauer Star, Grüner Star, Erkrankungen des Sehnervs allgemein und bei Entzündungen des Glaskörpers.

• Bei gesundheitlichen Bedenken irgendwelcher Art konsultieren Sie Ihren Hausarzt!

• Bei Menschen mit einer ausgeprägten Lichtempfindlichkeit und Migräneanfälligkeit sollte vorher mit dem Arzt über den Einsatz der Tageslichtlampe gesprochen werden.

• Vor Gebrauch des Gerätes ist jegliches Verpackungsmaterial zu entfernen.

• Leuchtmittel sind von der Garantie ausgenommen.

EMV Information Warnung

• Die Verwendung dieses Geräts unmittelbar neben anderen Geräten oder mit anderen Geräten in gestapelter Form sollte vermieden werden, da dies eine fehlerhafte Betriebsweise zur Folge haben könnte. Wenn eine Verwendung in der vorbeschriebenen Art dennoch notwendig ist, sollten dieses Gerät und die anderen Geräte beobachtet werden, um sich davon zu überzeugen, dass sie ordnungsgemäß arbeiten.

• Die Verwendung von anderem Zubehör, und einem anderen Netzteil als jenem, welches diesem Geräts bei gelegt ist, kann erhöhte elektromagnetische Störaussendungen oder eine geminderte elektromagnetische Störfestigkeit des Geräts zur Folge haben und zu einer fehlerhaften Betriebsweise führen.

• Tragbare HF-Kommunikationsgeräte (einschließlich deren Zubehör wie z.B. Antennenkabel und externe Antennen) sollten nicht in einem geringeren Abstand als 30 cm zu diesem Gerät und seinem Netzkabel verwendet werden. Eine Nichtbeachtung kann zu einer Leistungsbeeinträchtigung des Geräts führen.

• Wenn das Gerät aufgrund elektromagnetischer Störungen flackert oder nicht leuchtet, verwenden Sie es an einem anderen Standort.

• Um die Aufrechterhaltung der Basissicherheit und der wesentlichen Leistungsmerkmale im Hinblick auf elektromagnetische Störgrößen über die gesamte zu erwartende Betriebs-Lebensdauer zu gewährleisten, sollte das Gerät nicht in der Nähe (z.B. weniger als 1,5 km entfernt) von AM, FM und TV-Sendern betrieben werden.

Reparatur Achtung

• Versuchen Sie nicht das Gerät selbst zu reparieren. Hierbei könnten ernsthafte Verletzungen die Folge sein. Bei Nichtbeachten erlischt die Garantie.

• Wenden Sie sich bei Reparaturen an den Kundenservice oder an einen autorisierten Händler.

• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn es beschädigt ist. Sollte das Gerät nicht funktionieren, versuchen Sie das Problem mit den Hinweisen aus Kapitel „Was tun bei Problemen?“ zu lösen. Sollten Sie das Problem nicht beheben können, kontaktieren Sie den Kundenservice oder einen autorisierten Händler.

5. Inbetriebnahme

Entnehmen Sie das Gerät aus der Folie. Überprüfen Sie das Gerät auf Beschädigungen und Fehler. Sollten Sie Beschädigungen oder Fehler an dem Gerät feststellen, verwenden Sie es nicht und kontaktieren Sie den Kundendienst oder Ihren Lieferanten.

Aufstellen

Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einer ebenen Fläche auf. Die Platzierung sollte so gewählt werden, dass der Abstand vom Gerät zum Benutzer zwischen 20 cm und 45 cm beträgt. Hier besitzt die Lampe ihre optimale Wirksamkeit.

An der Wand aufhängen

Alternativ können Sie das Gerät auch an einer Wand aufhängen. Hierzu benötigen Sie eine feste Wand mit einer stabilen Aufhängevorrichtung (für Betonwände z.B. eine 25 mm lange M4 Edelstahl-Blechschraube mit Dübel). Hängen Sie nun das Gerät an der Lochung (befindet sich zentral auf der Geräterückseite) an der Aufhängevorrichtung auf. Blechschraube und Dübel sind nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten.

Achtung

Wenn die Lochung auf der Geräterückseite eingerissen oder beschädigt ist, hängen Sie das Gerät nicht an einer Wand auf! Kontaktieren Sie für Hilfe den Kundendienst oder Ihren Händler.

Hinweis:

• Achten Sie darauf, dass sich eine Steckdose in der Nähe des Aufstellplatzes befindet.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass sich der Netzstecker komplett in der Steckdose befindet.

• Verlegen Sie das Netzkabel so, dass niemand darüber stolpern kann.

6. Bedienung

1 Lampe einschalten

 Drücken Sie die Ein-/Aus-Taste.

2 Licht genießen

Setzten Sie sich so nah als möglich an die Lampe, zwischen 20 cm und 45 cm. Sie können während der Anwendung Ihren gewohnten Bedürfnissen nachgehen. Sie können lesen, schreiben, telefonieren, etc.

• Blicken Sie immer wieder kurz direkt in das Licht, da die Aufnahme bzw. die Wirkung über die Augen/ Netzhaut erfolgt.

• Sie können die Tageslichtlampe so oft einsetzen, wie sie wollen. Die Behandlung ist jedoch am wirkungsvollsten, wenn Sie entsprechend der vorgegebenen Zeitangaben mindestens 7 Tage in Folge die Lichttherapie durchführen.

• Die effektivste Tageszeit für die Behandlung ist zwischen 6 Uhr morgens und 8 Uhr abends und wird mit einer täglichen Dauer von 2 Stunden empfohlen.

• Blicken Sie jedoch nicht über die gesamte Anwendungsdauer direkt in das Licht, es könnte gegebenenfalls zu einer Überreizung der Netzhaut kommen.

• Beginnen Sie mit kürzerer Bestrahlung, die Sie im Laufe einer Woche steigern.

• Lassen Sie die in Benutzung befindliche Tageslichtlampe nicht unbeaufsichtigt.

Hinweis:

Nach den ersten Anwendungen können Nebenwirkungen wie Augen- und Kopfschmerzen sowie Übelkeit auftreten, welche in den weiteren Sitzungen ausbleiben, da sich dann das Nervensystem an die neuen Reize gewöhnt hat. Verwenden Sie die Tageslichtlampe einige Tage lang nicht, bis die Nebenwirkungen abgeklungen sind, und versuchen Sie es dann erneut.

3 Worauf sollten Sie achten

Für eine Anwendung beträgt der empfohlene Abstand 20 - 45 cm zwischen Gesicht und Lampe. Die Dauer der Anwendung hängt wiederum vom Abstand ab:

Grundsätzlich gilt: Je näher man der Lichtquelle ist, desto kürzer die Anwendungszeit.

4 Licht über einen längeren Zeitraum genießen

Wiederholen Sie die Anwendung in der lichtarmen Jahreszeit mindestens an 7 aufeinander folgenden Tagen, bzw. auch länger, je nach individuellem Bedürfnis. Sie sollten die Behandlung vorzugsweise in den Morgenstunden durchführen.

5 Lampe ausschalten



Drücken Sie die Ein-/Aus-Taste. Die LEDs schalten sich aus. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

ACHTUNG!

Die Lampe ist nach dem Gebrauch warm. Lassen Sie die Lampe zuerst lange genug abkühlen bevor Sie diese aufräumen und / oder verpacken!

7. Gerät reinigen und pflegen

Von Zeit zu Zeit sollte das Gerät gereinigt werden.

Achtung

• Achten Sie darauf, dass kein Wasser in das Geräteinnere gelangt! Vor jeder Reinigung muss das Gerät ausgeschaltet, vom Netz getrennt und abgekühlt sein.

• Gerät nicht in der Spülmaschine reinigen! Benutzen Sie zur Reinigung ein leicht angefeuchtetes Tuch.

• Benutzen Sie keine scharfen Reinigungsmittel und halten Sie das Gerät niemals unter Wasser. Das Gerät darf im angeschlossenen Zustand nicht mit feuchten Händen angefasst werden; es darf kein Wasser auf das Gerät spritzen. Das Gerät darf nur im vollständig trockenen Zustand betrieben werden.

8. Lagerung

Wenn Sie das Gerät über einen längeren Zeitraum nicht verwenden, bewahren Sie es uneingesteckt in einer trockenen Umgebung und außer Reichweite von Kindern auf. Beachten Sie die im Kapitel „Technische Daten“ angegebenen Aufbewahrungsbedingungen.

9. Entsorgen

Im Interesse des Umweltschutzes darf das Gerät am Ende seiner Lebensdauer nicht mit dem Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Die Entsorgung kann über entsprechende Sammelstellen in Ihrem Land erfolgen. Entsorgen Sie das Gerät gemäß der Elektro- und Elektronik Altgeräte EG-Richtlinie – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Bei Rückfragen wenden Sie sich an die für die Entsorgung zuständige kommunale Behörde.

10. Was tun bei Problemen?

Die Beurer GmbH, Söﬂinger Straße 218, D-89077 Ulm (nachfolgend „Beurer“ genannt) gewährt unter den nachstehenden Voraussetzungen und in dem nachfolgend beschriebenen Umfang eine Garantie für dieses Produkt.

Die nachstehenden Garantiebedingungen lassen die gesetzlichen Gewährleistungsverpﬂichtungen des Verkäufers aus dem Kaufvertrag mit dem Käufer unberührt. Die Garantie gilt außerdem unbeschadet zwingender gesetzlicher Haftungsvorschriften.

Beurer garantiert die mangelfreie Funktionstüchtigkeit und die Vollständigkeit dieses Produktes.

Die weltweite Garantiezeit beträgt 3 Jahre ab Beginn des Kaufes des neuen, ungebrauchten Produktes durch den Käufer.

Diese Garantie gilt nur für Produkte, die der Käufer als Verbraucher erworben hat und ausschließlich zu persönlichen Zwecken im Rahmen des häuslichen Gebrauchs verwendet. Es gilt deutsches Recht.

Why use a daylight therapy lamp?

When the hours of daylight are noticeably shorter in autumn and people increasingly stay inside in winter, the effects of a lack of light may become apparent. This is often described as “winter depression”. The symptoms can present themselves in a number of ways:

• Imbalance

• Low mood

• Lack of energy and listlessness

• Generally feeling under the weather

The cause of these symptoms is the fact that light, particularly sunlight, is essential for life and has a direct effect upon the human body. Sunlight indirectly controls the production of melatonin, which is only passed to the blood in darkness. This hormone shows your body that it is time to sleep. Therefore, in months with less sunshine more melatonin is produced, making it difficult to get up in the mornings because your body functions are powered down. Use the daylight therapy lamp immediately after waking up (i.e. as early as possible) to end the production of melatonin and to brighten your mood. Lack of light also prevents the production of the happy hormone serotonin, which is said to significantly influence our well-being. The application of light thus yields quantitative changes to hormones and neurotransmitters in the brain that have an effect on our activity levels, our feelings and our well-being. To compensate for such a hormo nal imbalance, daylight therapy lamps can create a suitable replacement for natural sunlight. In the medical field, daylight therapy lamps are used as compensation for the effects of a lack of light. Daylight therapy lamps simulate daylight over 10,000lux. This light can influence the human body and be used as a treatment or as a preventative measure. Normal electric light, however, is not sufficient to influence the hormonal balance. This is because in a well-lit office, the light intensity is just 500 lux, for example.

• The device is suitable for health applications at home. No special training is required to use the device.

• Before use, ensure that there is no visible damage to the device or accessories and that all packaging material has been removed. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Service address.

• Ensure that the daylight therapy lamp is positioned on a stable base.

• The device must only be connected to the mains voltage that is specified on the type plate.

• Never submerge the device in water or other liquids and do not use it in the bathroom.

It must not be used on people with disabilities, children under 3 years of age or people with reduced sensitivity to heat (e.g. people with skin alternations due to illness), after taking pain relief medication, alcohol or drugs.

• Keep packaging material away from children (risk of suffocation!).

• Do not allow children to play with the device.

• If the device is warm, do not cover it or pack and store it.

• Always unplug the mains part and allow the device to cool down before touching it.

• Do not touch the device with wet hands when it is plugged in and do not allow water to spray on the device. Only operate the device if it is completely dry.

• Ensure that you only insert and remove the mains part with dry hands and that you only press the ON/OFF button with dry hands.

• Keep the mains cable away from hot objects and naked flames.

• Protect the device from heavy impact.

• Do not pull the mains part out of the socket using the mains cable. Hold the mains part directly when pulling the mains part from the socket.

• Do not use the device if it shows signs of damage or does not function properly. In such cases, contact Customer Services.

• If the mains connection cable of this device is damaged, it must be disposed of. If it cannot be removed, the device must be disposed of.

• The plug is used to disconnect the power supply. Position the device so that you can easily unplug the plug from the power supply at all times.

• Disconnection from the power supply network is only guaranteed when the mains part is unplugged.

• Do not use the device in the presence of flammable anaesthetic gas connections with air, oxygen or nitrogen oxide.

• No calibration and no preventive checks or maintenance need to be carried out on this device.

• You cannot repair the device. The device contains no parts that you can repair.

• Do not make any changes to the device without the manufacturer‘s permission.

• Please do not use the device if you suffer from an eye disease such as cataracts, glaucoma, diseases of the optic nerve or inflammation of the vitreous body.

• If you have health concerns of any kind, consult your GP!

• Always consult a doctor before using the daylight therapy lamp if you have a strong sensitivity to light or you are prone to migraine attacks.

• Remove all packaging material before using the device.

• Light sources are excluded from the warranty.

EMC information Warning

• Use of this appliance adjacent to or stacked with other device should be avoided because it could result in improper operation. If such use is necessary, this appliance and the other device should be observed to verify that they are operating normally. If the appliance does not light on or is flickering, it means that the appliance is not operating normally.

• Do not change any cable without authorization of the manufacturer. Use of cables other than those specified or provided by the manufacturer of this appliance could result in increased electromagnetic emissions or decreased electromagnetic immunity of this appliance and result in improper operation.

5. Initial use

Take the device out of the plastic wrapping. Check the device for damage or faults. If you notice any damage or faults on the device, do not use it and contact customer services or your supplier.

Positioning the device

Place the device on an even surface. The position should be chosen to ensure a distance of between 20cm and 45cm between the user and the device. The lamp is most effective at this distance.

Mounting the device on the wall

Alternatively, you can also mount the device on the wall. This requires a solid wall with a stable suspension device (for concrete walls e.g. a 25mm long M4 stainless steel self-tapping screw and wall plug). Only mount the device on the suspension device at the hole (located centrally on the rear of the device). Self-tapping screw and wall plug are not included in delivery.

Important:

If the area around the hole in the rear of the device is cracked or damaged, do not mount the device on the

wall! For help, please contact customer services or your retailer.

Note:

• Ensure that there is a mains socket close to the set-up area.

• Ensure that the mains part plug is completely inserted in the mains socket.

• Arrange the mains cable so that no-one will trip over it.

6. Operation

1 Switching on the lamp

 Press the On/Off button.

2 Enjoying the light

Sit as close as possible to the lamp, between 20 cm and 45 cm. You can go about your normal activities while using it. You can read, write, make telephone calls, etc.

• Every so often, briefly look directly into the light, since the effect results from the eyes/ retina receiving the light.

• Use the daylight therapy lamp as often as you want. However, the treatment is at its most effective if you carry out the light therapy according to the prescribed time period of at least 7 successive days.

• The most effective time of day for the treatment is between 6am and 8pm and we recommend that it is used for 2 hours per day.

• Do not look directly into the light the whole time you are using it, however, since that could lead to overstimulation of the retina.

• Start with shorter periods of illumination, which you increase over the course of a week.

• Do not leave the daylight therapy lamp unsupervised if it is being used.

Note:

After the first few applications you may experience side effects such as pain in the eyes and head or nausea. This should disappear in further sessions as the nervous system becomes accustomed to the new stimuli. Refrain from using the daylight therapy lamp for a few days until the side effects have subsided, then try to use the device again.

3 Important instructions

When using the lamp, maintain the recommended distance of 20 - 45 cm between your face and the lamp. The duration of the application depends on the distance:

Basically, the closer you are to the source of light, the less time you should use it.

4 Enjoying light over longer periods

Repeat your use of the lamp in the dark seasons for at least 7 successive days, or even longer, depending on your individual needs. If possible, conduct the treatment in the morning hours.

5 Switching off the lamp

 Press the ON/OFF button. The LEDs switch off. Unplug the mains part from the mains socket.

CAUTION!

The lamp remains warm after use. Allow the lamp to cool down sufficiently before putting it away and/or packing it away warm.

7. Cleaning and care of the unit

The device should be cleaned from time to time.

Important

• Ensure that no water gets inside the device. The device must be switched off, disconnected from the mains and allowed to cool down each time before cleaning.

• Do not clean the device in a dishwasher. Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the device.

• Do not use any abrasive cleaning products and never submerge the device in water. Do not touch the device with wet hands when it is plugged in and do not allow water to spray on the device. Only operate the device if it is completely dry.

8. Storage

If you are not going to use the device for an extended period of time, disconnect it and store it in a dry place, out of the reach of children. Follow the storage instructions provided in the “Technical data” chapter.

9. Disposal

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in the household waste at the end of its useful life. Dispose of the unit at a suitable local collection or recycling point. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal.

12. Warranty/service

Beurer GmbH, Söflinger Straße 218, 89077 Ulm, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “Beurer”) provides a warranty for this product, subject to the requirements below and to the extent described as follows.

The warranty conditions below shall not affect the seller’s statutory warranty obligations which ensue from the sales agreement with the buyer. The warranty shall apply without prejudice to any mandatory statutory provisions on liability.

Beurer guarantees the perfect functionality and completeness of this product.

The worldwide warranty period is 3 years, commencing from the purchase of the new, unused product from the seller.

The warranty only applies to products purchased by the buyer as a consumer and used exclusively for personal purposes in the context of domestic use. German law shall apply.

During the warranty period, should this product prove to be incomplete or defective in functionality in accordance with the following provisions, Beurer shall carry out a repair or a replacement delivery free of charge, in accordance with these warranty conditions.

If the buyer wishes to make a warranty claim, they should approach their local retailer in the first instance: see the attached “International Service” list of service addresses.

The buyer will then receive further information about the processing of the warranty claim, e.g. where they can send the product and what documentation is required.

La cause de l’apparition de ces symptômes se résume au besoin vital que représente la lumière rement la lumière du soleil pour le corps humain, sur lequel elle agit directement. La lumière du soleil provoque indirectement la production de mélatonine, qui n’est envoyée dans le sang que dans l’obscurité. Cette hormone indique au corps qu’il est temps de dormir. C’est pourquoi la production de mélatonine est plus importante pendant les mois sombres. Il est donc plus difficile de se lever, car les fonctions corporelles sont amoindries. Si la lampe de luminothérapie est utilisée immédiatement après le lever du matin, c’est-à-dire le plus tôt possible, la production de mélatonine peut être arrêtée afin de permettre un élan d’humeur positive. De plus, un manque de lumière inhibe la production de l’hormone du bonheur sérotonine, qui influence considérablement notre «bien-être». Il s’agit, concernant l’application de lumière, de modifications quantitatives d’hormones et de messagers chimiques dans le cerveau, qui peuvent influencer notre niveau d’activité, nos sentiments et notre bien-être. Pour contrer un tel déséquilibre hormonal, les lampes de luminothérapie peuvent représenter un bon substitut à la lumière du soleil. Dans le domaine médical, les lampes de luminothérapie sont utilisées en luminothérapie contre le manque de lumière. Ces lampes simulent la lumière du jour au-delà de 10000lux. Cette lumière peut agir sur le corps humain et être utilisée à titre préventif ou pour le traitement. Quant à la lumière électrique, elle ne suffit pas pour agir sur le taux hormonal. En effet, la puissance lumineuse dans un bureau bien éclairé n’est que de 500lux, par exemple.

• En cas de prise de médicaments tels que des sédatifs, des anti-hypertenseurs et des antidépresseurs, il convient de demander l’avis du médecin concernant l’utilisation de la lampe de luminothérapie.

• Pour les personnes souffrant de maladies de la rétine tout comme pour les diabétiques, il est recomman dé, avant l’utilisation de la lampe de luminothérapie, de se faire examiner par un ophtalmologue.

• Veuillez ne pas utiliser l‘appareil dans le cas d‘affections oculaires telles que cataracte, glaucome, affec tions du nerf optique en général et dans le cas d‘inflammations du corps vitré.

• En cas de problèmes de santé quelconques, veuillez consulter votre médecin de famille.

• Chez les personnes présentant une photosensibilité prononcée et souffrant de migraines, il convient de demander l’avis d’un médecin avant d’utiliser la lampe de luminothérapie.

• L’emballage doit être retiré avant l’utilisation de l’appareil.

• Les ampoules sont exclues de la garantie.

Informations sur la compatibilité électromagnétique Avertissement

• Éviter d’utiliser ces appareils à proximité immédiate d’autres appareils ou en l’empilant sur d’autres appareils, car cela peut provoquer des dysfonctionnements. S’il n’est pas possible d’éviter le genre de situation précédemment indiqué, il convient alors de surveiller cet appareil et les autres appareils afin d’être certain que ceux-ci fonctionnent correctement.

• L’utilisation d’autres accessoires et d’une alimentation différente de celle fournie avec cet appareil peut provoquer des perturbations électromagnétiques accrues ou une baisse de l’immunité électromagnétique de l’appareil, et donc causer des dysfonctionnements.

• Pour toute réparation, adressez-vous au service client ou à un revendeur agréé.

• N’utilisez pas l’appareil s’il est endommagé. Si l’appareil ne fonctionne pas, essayez de résoudre le problème à l’aide des indications du chapitre «Que faire en cas de problème?». Si vous ne parvenez pas à résoudre le problème, contactez le service client ou un revendeur autorisé.

5. Mise en service

Retirez le film de protection de l’appareil. Vérifiez que l’appareil n’est pas endommagé et ne comporte aucun défaut. Si vous constatez que l’appareil est endommagé ou comporte un défaut, ne l’utilisez pas et contactez le service client ou votre fournisseur.

Installation

Posez l’appareil sur une surface plane. L’appareil doit être placé de telle sorte que l’écart entre l’appareil et l’utilisateur soit compris entre 20 et 45 cm. À cette distance, la lampe a un effet optimal.

Accrocher l’appareil au mur

Vous pouvez également accrocher l’appareil au mur. Pour cela, il vous faut un mur solide avec des crochets de suspension stables (pour les murs en béton par exemple, utilisez des vis taraudeuses en acier inoxydable M4 d’une longueur de 25mm et des chevilles). Accrochez maintenant l’appareil par sa perforation (qui se trouve au centre à l’arrière de l’appareil) au crochet de suspension. La vis taraudeuse et les chevilles ne sont pas livrées avec l’appareil.

Attention

Si la perforation à l’arrière de l’appareil est fendue ou endommagée, n’accrochez pas l’appareil au mur! Contactez le service client ou votre revendeur pour assistance.

Remarque:

• Vérifiez qu’il y a bien une prise à proximité du lieu d’installation.

• Vérifiez que la fiche de l’adaptateur secteur est complètement enfoncée dans la prise.

• Placez le câble d’alimentation de manière à ce que personne ne puisse trébucher dessus.
