• This device is designed solely for non-commercial, household use in non-invasively measuring temperatures via an infrared sensor of the human body for persons of all ages, as well as detecting surface temperatures of objects and ambient temperatures of surrounding areas. Do not use for any other purpose.
• This thermometer is a sensitive electronic device. Treat it carefully and do not expose it to any sharp impacts.

• The device needs to be in the room in which the measurement is taken for at least 30 minutes before use.

• Measure your temperature regularly to obtain your normal average temperature. If you suspect you have a fever, simply compare your normal average temperature with the temperature measured currently.

• Taking your temperature provides information about your current state of well-being. If you are uncertain about interpreting the results or if the result is abnormal (e.g. fever), consult your doctor. This also applies in the case of slight temperature changes if there are other symptoms of illness such as agitation, severe sweating, flushed skin, fast pulse rate, tendency to collapse, etc.
• Temperatures measured with dierent thermometers cannot be compared. You should tell your doctor or keep in mind if you are measuring for yourself what type of thermometer you use and in which part of the body.

Notes on electromagnetic compatibility
• The device is suitable for use in all environments listed in these instructions for use, including domestic environments.
• T
he use of the device may be limited in the presence of electromagnetic disturbances. This could
result in issues such as error messages or the failure of the display/device.
• A
void using this device directly next to other devices or stacked on top of other devices, as this could lead to faulty operation. If, however, it is necessary to use the device in the manner stated, this device as well as the other devices must be monitored to ensure they are working properly.
• T
he use of accessories other than those specified or provided by the manufacturer of this device can lead to an increase in electromagnetic emissions or a decrease in the device’s electromagnetic immunity; this can result in faulty operation.

ailure to comply with the above can impair the performance of the device.
Battery Handling Safety Precautions
• U
se only the size and type of batteries specified.
• B
e sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries. Reversed batteries may cause
damage to the device.
• Do not mix dierent types of batteries together (e.g., alkaline and carbon-zinc or rechargeable batteries) or old batteries with fresh ones. Always replace batteries as a simultaneous set.
• I
f the batteries in the device are depleted or the device will not be used for a long period of time,
remove the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
• Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged; they can overheat and rupture (follow battery manufacturer’s directions).
• D
o not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may explode or leak.
• C
lean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.

• Remove discharged batteries from the product and dispose/recycle in compliance with all applicable laws.
• Should battery fluid leak and come into contact with your eyes or skin, immediately rinse with plenty of clean water. Please call 911 immediately.

atteries should not be taken apart, thrown in the fire or short circuited.
• If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
• Keep batteries away from children and pets. Batteries may be harmful if swallowed. Should a child or pet swallow a battery, seek medical assistance immediately.

Dierent types of thermometers measure body temperature dierently. The resulting temperature varies depending on the part of the body where the measurement is taken. Temperatures in various parts of the body can vary up to two degrees Fahrenheit.

• Age (body temperature is higher in babies and small children and falls with increasing age. Greater temperature fluctuations occur faster and more often in children)

• The time of day (body temperature is lower in the morning and increases slightly throughout the day).

5� To Set Up
Before first use, remove the battery compartment cover and insert two “AAA” size batteries (included), observing the correct polarity as indicated inside the compartment. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place.
Setting the time and date:

6� To Use
Forehead Temperature Measurement:

• If possible, take three measurements on the forehead. If the three measurements dier, use the highest value.

f the forehead area is covered in hair, sweat or dirt, clean the area and then wait for 10 minutes
before measurement.
• Keep the thermometer still during measurement. Moving the thermometer during measurement may cause incorrect results.

Hold the thermometer 1-2 inches from the forehead while pointing the

If the measurement is less than 99.5° F (37.5° C), the “no fever” icon will display and the Fever Indicator ring around the illuminate in green. If the measurement is 99.5° - 100.3° F (37.5° - 37.9° C), the Fever Indicator will illuminate yellow. If the measurement is over 100.4° F, the fever icon will display and the Fever Indicator will illuminate red.

The device is ready to take another measurement when two short beeps sound and the forehead
symbol stops flashing. The device will shut o after about one minute; to manually shut the device o, press and hold the

Bluetooth® and the Beurer HealthCoach app
To store measurements on your mobile device, download and install the free HealthCoach app from the Google Play Store (for Android devices) or the Apple App Store (for iOS devices). After downloading the app, start it and add FT95 under “Settings--> My devices.” If you find that measurements do not transfer to the app, try removing the protective cover from your mobile device to ensure the signal is not being blocked.

If Bluetooth is active on the thermometer and it is paired with your mobile device, measurements will transfer to the Beurer HealthCoach mobile app. The Bluetooth® symbol will flash on the LCD Display while the thermometer attempts to connect to the app for about 30 seconds. The Bluetooth icon will stop flashing when the thermometer connects to your device’s mobile app and stored measurements will then transfer. Afterwards, the thermometer will shut o after 60 seconds, or press the Button to shut it o manually.

7� Care, Maintenance and Disposal
• The sensor is the most sensitive part of the thermometer. Work carefully when cleaning the sensor to avoid product damage. Use a clean cloth or cotton swab moistened with disinfectant, alcohol, or warm water.

o not use any harsh cleaning products.

efore prolonged storage, remove the batteries.
• Do not use or store the device in excessively high or low temperature or humidity, in direct sunlight, near an electrical current or in dusty locations.
• T
o clean the device, use a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent. Ensure water does not get into the device. If the device does get wet, remove the battery immediately and let dry completely before reuse.
• N
ever immerse the device in water.
• W
hen storing the device for an extended period, remove the battery.
Disposal
• Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with local regulations.

Limited Lifetime Warranty For Original Purchaser Your Beurer Non-Contact Thermometer, model FT 95, is warranted to be free from defects in
materials and workmanship for the life of the product under normal conditions of intended use and service. This warranty extends only to the original retail purchaser and does not extend to retailers or subsequent owners.
We will, at our option, repair or replace the Beurer Non-Contact Thermometer, model FT 95, without additional charge, for any part or parts covered by these written warranties. No refunds will be given. Repair or replacement is our only responsibility and your only remedy under this written
