Installation instructions

1. Do not keep your appl iance in a r oom wher e
the temperature is li kely to fall below 10 deg rees
C (50 degrees F) at nig ht and/or especially in
winter, as it is desig ned to oper ate in a mbient
temperatures betw een +10 and +38 d egrees C
(50 and 100 degrees F) . At low er temperatures
the appliance may not o perate, resul ting i n a
reduction in the storag e life of the food.

2. Do not place the appl iance near cookers or
radiators or in direc t sunli ght, as this will c ause
extra str ain on the appl iance's functions. If
installed next to a so urce of heat or freez er,
maintain the follow ing minimu m side clearanc es:

tightly closed contai ners. N ever st ore products
that contain an infla mmable propell ant gas ( e.g.
cream dispensers, spr ay cans, etc .) or ex plosiv e

Storing frozen food

Your freezer is sui table for the long-term storage
of commercially froz en foods and al so can b e
used to freeze and stor e fresh food.
If there is a power failure, do n ot open t he door.
Frozen food should not be affected if the failure
lasts for less than 16 hr s. I f the failure i s longer ,
then the food should b e checked a nd either
eaten immediately or cooked and th en re-frozen.

Defrosting

A) Fridge compartment

Defrost twice a year or when a frost layer of

defrosting procedure, switch off the appliance at
the socket outlet and pull out the mains plug. All
food should be wrapped in several layers of
newspaper and stored in a cool place (e.g. fridge
or larder).

Replacing the interior light bulb

To change the Bulb/LE D used for i lluminatio n of
your refrigerator , call your Author ised Service.
The lamp(s) used in this applianc e is not sui table
for household room illumination. The intended
purpose of this lamp is to assi st the user to place
foodstuffs in the re frigerator/ freezer in a safe an d
comfortable way . The lamps used in t his
appliance have to w ithstand ex treme phy sical
conditions such as te mperatures bel ow -20°C.

Cleaning and care

1. We recom mend that you swi tch off the
appliance at the socket outlet a nd pull out th e
mains plug before cleani ng.

2. Never use any shar p instruments or abrasi ve
substances, soap, ho usehold clea ner, deter gent
or wax polish for cleaning.

3. Use luke w arm w ater to clean the c abinet of
the appliance and wi pe it dry .

4. Use a dam p cloth w rung out in a s olution of
one teaspoon of bicarbo nate of sod a to one pint
of water to clean the i nterior and wipe i t dry.

5. Make sure t hat no w ater ent ers the
temperature control box .

6. If the a ppliance is n ot g oing to be used for a
long period of time, sw itch it o ff, remov e all food,
clean it and leave the d oor ajar .

7. We recom mend that you poli sh the metal
parts of the product ( i.e. door exteri or, cabinet
sides) with a sili cone wax ( car polish) to protect
the high quality paint finish.

Aufstellen

1. Die Umgebungstemp eratur hat eine

Standortwahl soll ten Sie darau f achten, das
Gerät in einem Raum mi t einer konsta nten
Umgebungstemperatur i n Betrieb z u setzen di e
seiner Klimaklasse ent spri cht, dh. + 10. ..+38° C.
(50…100° F ). Ein Rau m mit schw ankenden
Temperaturen ( insbeso nders nachts oder im
Winter unter 10° C ) is t zu ver meiden.

2. Bei niedrigen Temper aturen is t es mögl ich,
dass das Gerät nicht f unktioni ert. Das bew irkt
eine Verminderung der Lagerung sdauer v on
Lebensmitteln, minder t unnötig den Nähr wer
im schlechtesten Fall können Leb ensmittel
frühzeitig ver derben. Vermeiden Si e direkte
Sonneneinstrahlung , und stell en Sie das Ger ät
nie in der Nähe einer dir ekten Wärmequelle a uf.
(Heizkörper, Her d, Ofen ).
Die Mindestabstände z u solchen Ger äten

Temperaturregelung.
Einstellung der Temperatur

Mit den Thermostat ka nn die die g ewünsc hte
Lagertemperatur eingestellt w erden (Abb. 5).
Wenn das Gerät die ein gestel lte Temperat ur
erreicht hat, schalt et sich der Thermostat
automatisch a us, steig t die Temper atur w ieder,
so schaltet es sich w ieder ein. Stellung „5“
bedeutet die niedrig ste Innentem peratur (k älteste
Einstellung).

Im Kühlschrank gibt es kälter e und wärmer e
Zonen (Gemüseschubla de, oberes Teil des
Kühlschranks). Jedes Lebensmi ttel sollt e den
richtigen Platz bekommen, damit es lang e frisch
bleibt. Wir empfehlen, die Temper atur der
Raumtemeperatur, der Häufigkeit mi t der der
Kühlschrank geöffnet w ird, sow ie der M enge der
eingelagerten Lebensmi ttel ents prechend
einzustellen. Die Temperatur i m Kühlschrank
regelmäßig an ver schiedenen Stel len mit ei nem
Thermometer messen. Vermeide n Sie unnötiges
und zu langes Öffnen de r Tür.
