its high- performance featu res you can achieve the ty pical hard rock or heavy m etal distortion s ounds.

(1) The LEVEL control adjusts the output level.
(2) The LOW control allows you to boost /cut the low-frequency range.
(3) The HIGH control allows you to boost/cut the high-f requency range.
(4) The DIST control adjusts the amount of distor tion eect and the length of the resulting sustain.
High distortion settings will allow for extremely long sustaining tones.
(5) The ON/BAT T LED illuminates whe n the eect is acti vated. It also serves as a b attery level indic ator.
(6) Use the foot switch to activate/deac tivate the eect.
(7) Use this ¼" TS IN connector to plug in the instrument cable.
(8) The ¼" TS OUT connector s ends the signal to your amp.
Use the DC IN connection to plug in a 9 V power supply (not included).
The BATTERY COMPARTMENT is located underneath the pedal cover. To install or replace the 9 V battery
(not included), press the hinges with a b allpoint pen and remove the pedal cover. Be careful not to
scratch the unit.
◊ The SM400 has no on/o switch. As soon as you insert the plug into the i n connector,
the SM400 is on. When not in use, remove the plug from the in connector. This extends
the life of the batter y.
The SERIAL NUMBER is located at the underside.
