DESCRIPTION

SERVICE RECOMMENDATION: Dual-flange plate strainers are

recommended for Recordall® turbo meters. Compactly designed to conserve space, 8", 10", 12", 16" and 20" sizes effectively strain foreign matter from pipe lines to protect and extend the service life of water meters.

FEATURES: Fabricated steel plate strainers exceed AWWA standards with an effective screening area to minimize flow restrictions and turbulence to meters. The straining area is double the inlet to turbo meter cases. Strainers also reduce turbine rotor bearing loading and resultant wear to maintain and extend accurate meter registration, by minimizing velocity profile distortion caused by changes in pipe direction or valving. For added flexibility, these strainers are compatible for all makes of meters. The screen is removable to clean the strainer in the service line.

SCREENS: Made of non-corrosive stainless steel to effectively strain all foreign matter, and can be easily removed and cleaned. Screen configuration directs debris to the bottom of the strainer to minimize flow restriction and velocity profile distortion.

CONSTRUCTION: The housing and cover are made of fabricated steel.

HYDROSTATICALLY TESTED MATERIALS: Housings are designed and individually tested to withstand 150 psi maximum working pressure.
