Topreventnetworkeavesdropping,therootpasswordcanbesetviaanencryptedHTTPSconnection,whichrequiresanHTTPS
certicate.HTTPS(HypertextTransferProtocoloverSSL)isaprotocolusedtoencrypttrafcbetweenwebbrowsersandservers.The
HTTPScerticateensuresencryptedexchangeofinformation.SeeHTTPSonpage55.

Thedefaultadministratorusernamerootispermanentandcannotbedeleted.Ifthepasswordforrootislost,theproductmustbe

viewastheeffectivesizeoftheimagesensordiffersbetweencapturemodes.

Capturemodeissetthersttimetheproductisaccessed.SelectthedesiredcapturemodeandclickOK.

Changingcapturemodewhentheproducthasbeenconguredisnotrecommendedasmostothersettingswillbeeither

IncreasingtheColorlevelincreasesthecolorsaturation.Thevalue100producesmaximumcolorsaturationandthevalue0
resultsinablackandwhiteimage.

TheimageBrightnesscanbeadjustedintherange0–100,whereahighervalueproducesabrighterimage.

IncreasingtheSharpnesscanincreasebandwidthusage.Asharperimagemightincreaseimagenoiseespeciallyinlowlight
conditions.Alowersettingreducesimagenoise,butthewholeimagewillappearlesssharp.

TheContrastchangestherelativedifferencebetweenlightanddark.Itcanbeadjustedusingtheslidebar.

LocalContrastappliescontrasttoaspecicareaoftheimage.Usetheslidertoadjustthecontrast,whereahighervalueproduces
animagewithhighcontrastbetweenthedarkandlightareasandissuitableforsceneswithwidedynamicrange.

Audio>CameraSettings.

BarrelDistortionCorrection

Barreldistortionisalenseffectthatcausesanimagetolookcurved.Theextentofdistortiondependsonthezoomlevel.

Toeditbarreldistortionsettings,clickEditfromVideo&Audio>CameraSettings>ImageCorrection.IntheBarrelDistortion
Correctionwindow,adjusttheslidertocorrectthedistortion,usingthegridforassistance.

Note

Barreldistortioncorrectionalsoaffectsimagewidth,height,andresolution.Ahigherlevelmeansthattheimagewidth
isretainedattheexpenseofimageheightandresolution.Alowerlevelmeansthatimageheightandresolutionare
retainedattheexpenseofimagewidth.

EnableDefog

EnablethisfeaturefromVideo&Audio>CameraSettingstocountertheeffectsoffoggyweatherandforaclearimage.
Alternatively,clicktheDefogbuttonintheproduct’sLiveViewpage.ThisbuttoncanbeconguredtoappearintheLiveViewpage
fromLiveViewCong>LiveViewLayout.UsetheDefogEffectslidertoadjustthedegreeofcorrectionasrequired.
