RF-505 OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
Remote Transmitter Operation—
Your Autopage Security comes with two 5-button Remote Control
Transmitters. The transmitters feature a sophisticated code hopping system
that will prevent illegal use of a code-grabbing device that may be used to
record and steal your transmitter codes.
ARM & LOCK—
To arm your security system, press the LOCK/UNLOCK button once. The
siren will chirp (1) time and the vehicle parking lights will flash (1) time
indicating that the security system is now armed. The vehicles doors will
lock upon arming when interfaced with the security system.
DISARM & UNLOCK—
To disarm your security system, press the LOCK/UNLOCK button once.
The siren will chirp (2) times and the vehicle parking lights flash (2) times
indicating that the security system is now disarmed. The vehicles door locks
will unlock upon disarming when interfaced with the security system.
DELETING THE ARM/DISARM CHIRP—
When attempting to arm or disarm your security system, you have the option
of temporarily muting the siren chirp sound. To perform this function,
simply press both the LOCK/UNLOCK & CAR buttons together on the
remote transmitter. No sound will be heard, arm / disarm confirmation will
be visual via the vehicle’s parking lights only.
CAR LOCATOR—
Your Autopage Vehicle Security System is equipped with a vehicle locator
function which chirps the siren (6) times and flashes the vehicles parking
lights (12) times to easily locate your vehicle. To access this function,
simply press the CAR button firmly twice on the remote transmitter.
REMOTE PANIC FUNCTION—
The remote transmitter may be used as a remote panic switch that will
activate the security system’s siren and vehicle parking lights in case of an
emergency. To activate the panic function, press and hold the
LOCK/UNLOCK button for 3 seconds. To cancel the panic function, press
the LOCK/UNLOCK button on the remote transmitter.
2ND CHANNEL AUXILIARY FUNCTION (OPTIONAL)—
You may use the CAR button on your remote transmitter for a separate
function. For example, if your vehicle is equipped with a factory electronic
trunk release. The security system can be interfaced with the factory switch
and electronically open your trunk by pressing the CAR button for 2 seconds
on the remote transmitter.
3RD CHANNEL AUXILIARY FUNCTION (OPTIONAL)—
You may use the AUX button on the remote transmitter for a separate
function. For example, if your vehicle is equipped with power windows or a
sunroof. The security system can be interfaced with an optional window
control module (Autopage AC68). To operate the 3rd channel function, press
the AUX button on the remote transmitter.
4TH CHANNEL AUXILIARY FUNCTION (OPTIONAL)—
You may use the 4th channel button on the remote transmitter to operate a
separate function. For example, if your wish to add a remote start to your
vehicle controlled by the security system. The security system can be
interfaced with an optional remote start module (Autopage RST2050KE). To
operate the 4th channel function, press the AUX & CAR buttons together on
the remote transmitter.
SENSOR BY-PASS—
The RF-505 can by-pass the SIS -5P shock sensor and the 2nd sensor port
from the transmitter. When arming the alarm with the “Lock/Unlock”
button, within 3 seconds press the “Lock/Unlock” button again. The siren
will give a long chirp confirming the shock sensors are turned off. The
sensors will reset the next time the alarm is armed.
PRIOITY DOOR UNLOCK (OPTIONAL)—
Your RF-505 security system is equipped with a priority door unlock feature
which will independently unlock the drivers door first when disarming the
security system. Pressing the LOCK/UNLO CK button a second time within
3 seconds of disarming will unlock the rest of the vehicle.
This feature requires additional installation and is not a standard feature of
the security system.
