It’ll be hard to get back to the office after you get your hands on the newly redesigned Audi A5. It’s funny how a captivating design paired with ultraresponsive performance will make counting vacation days a favored pastime. And with a new look for 2013, we’re sure the A5 will cause more than a few sick days spent to get some fresh air. Available in Coupe or Cabriolet variants, there is an A5 and a drivetrain for every driver. With the undeniable grip of available Audi quattro® all-wheel drive and your choice of three transmissions delivering dynamic response, the A5 also delivers an exhilarating driving experience. Featuring an impressive 2.0–liter turbocharged Audi TFSI® engine, you get optimized efficiency1 without minimizing power. It might be that your only problem when driving the A5 will be going through all of the unread e-mails when you finally make it back to the office. You might just want to stay on the road.

.01 – LED Daytime Running Light Technology
Stylish and iconic, available LED daytime running

More than just a nip/tuck job.
While most cars in its class are still playing by the same old rules, Audi is changing the game. At first glance, it’s easy to see that the Audi A5 is a favorite in its class. The restyled A5 is cut from the same Audi cloth, but stitched together in an entirely new way, based on Audi Sport® heritage. The A5 is an elegant take on the aggressive styling and power you’ve come to expect from Audi. Newly refined lines sweep across the three-dimensional hood to the rear, fusing the headlights and taillights, while the tapered Audi Singleframe® grille comes on strong as a brash emblem of cool. The design of the A5 gives it a bold style and aggressive stance you won’t find in many places, so you certainly won’t feel stuck with an old luxury look. The double take confirms that the A5 is back and better-looking than ever.
.02 – Perfect Proportions
Nothing feels out of place in an A5, and that’s by design. Its streamlined ⅔ body, ⅓ greenhouse design allows its sleek roof to flow seamlessly from its long hood. This is contrasted elegantly by short overhangs at the front and rear, giving this sports car its signature aesthetic.

It’s a matter of substance.

.03 – Panoramic Sunroof
Another enhancement to your drive is the standard panoramic sunroof on the A5 Coupe. Nothing gets between you and the sky, giving the cockpit even more headroom. If you don’t want to fully engage with the environment, the retractable shade feature is there too. So let the sun drench the interior of your A5 as you enjoy a carefree driving experience.
.04 – Split Folding Rear Seatbacks
With 12.2 cubic feet of cargo space in the A5 Coupe and 10.2 cubic feet of cargo space in the A5 Cabriolet with the seatbacks in the up position, the A5 is club storeready. The A5 Cabriolet has split folding 50/50 rear seatbacks, and a pass-through is available with the split folding 60/40 rear seatbacks of the Coupe. You can enjoy all the benefits of a sports car and still have room for your oversized toys.

The second you decide to climb into the driver-centric cabin of the Audi A5, you can be confident you’ll be fully engaged. A multifunction steering wheel has every control you need right at your fingertips, placed where they are the most intuitive to use. It may take a while to see what a pair you and the A5 make, because you’ve never been so coupled with a car. In fact, you’ll have the same experience as other A5 drivers—never has such intimacy been felt with an inanimate object.

The top of the A5 Cabriolet invites you to take advantage of clear skies for as long as the sun is out. If clouds do come, it takes approximately 17 seconds for the driver to fully deploy the roof (even at speeds up to 31 mph), so you can practically beat the first drop you see.

The perfect car for European beaches.
Go ahead and go topless, they’re already staring. It could be the available Comfort package that has them intrigued, with perforated Milano leather seating surfaces and ventilated and heated sport front seats. The available Audi MMI® Navigation plus system helps keep you covered even when you’re not, by letting you access music, information and navigation with just a few clicks of a button. And in case you get bashful, just bring the top back up and no one will be the wiser. But we don’t think you will.
.05 – Ventilated and Heated Sport Front Seats
Some added comforts for the top-down drive along the coast are the available heated and ventilated sport front seats. You can get a little extra touch of warmth from the available head-level heating system vents that blow warm air directly onto your neck and shoulders.
