Chapter 1
This chapter describes the key features
of TS100-E5/PI4. It includes the product overview and general specications.
Product introduction
1-

1.1 Key features

TS100-E5/PI4 is a uni-processor pedestal server, supporting 45nm Quad-Core / Dual-Core Intel® Xeon® 3300 / 3200 / 3100 / 3000 series or Intel® Conroe-L 400 series platform and DDR2 800 / 667 un-buffered ECC memory. It´s ideal for SOHO
& SMB due to its super quietness.
Ultra-Quiet Working Environment
With ASUS unique FAN control technology, TS100-E5/PI4 is able to adjust fan speed intelligently and run Quad-core CPU system at very low acoustic level (26.1dBA at idle mode), providing super quiet working environment for customers, which will especially facilitate SOHO & SMB users.
Optimal System Thermal Design
With optimal system thermal design, TS100-E5/PI4 is able to generate more
margin to keep the fans running at very low speed and still meet Intel thermal design power criteria.
Quad GbE with Teaming & Failover Support
As the speed of the Intranet greatly helps in sharing information and transferring
data, the TS100-E5/PI4, with built in Quad-LAN with a “teaming” function that integrates four high-speed Gigabit LAN ports into a single one, provides almost
four times the transferring bandwidth. Even if an error occurs to one port, the networking connection will not be affected in any way.
Strict networking performance tests have shown that the Quad-LAN of the TS100-E5/PI4 can improve transferring performances up to 383% in comparison to a single LAN. Additionally, the four ports can also be used in individual sub-nets to
provide secure data and smooth transfers.
