P2B-L/S/LS (E208) UPDATES

Updates Since Manual Revision 1.03

Since the release of Manual Revision 1.03 of the ASUS P2B-L/P2B-S/P2B-LS motherboards, there has been several updates. Here are some worth noting:

CPU Settings

(refer to page 14 of your manual)

• If you have Product Revision 1.03 or later (check your motherboard for the

revision number or ask your dealer) of the motherboard, use the following CPU Bus Frequency and CPU Core:BUS Frequency Multiple settings:

Set the jumpers by the Internal speed of your processor as follows:

NOTES: Overclocking your processor is not recommended. It may result in a slower

speed. Voltage Regulator Output Selection (VID) is not needed for the Pentium II processor because it sends a VID signal directly to the onboard power controller.

ADAPTEC EZ-SCSI UTILITY

(refer to page 79 of your manual)

• The ADAPTEC EZ-SCSI UTILITY does not provide drivers for Windows and WindowsNT™. Only drivers for DOS, Windows®3.1x, or Windows for Workgroups3.1x are provided in the support CD disc.

If you want to install Windows

95 or WindowsNT™ on a new computer system, you may not be able to access your SCSI CD-ROM drive initially. (Usually , you install Windows®95 and W indowsNT™ from a disc.) To gain access to your CD-ROM drive, follow the DOS Quick Start instructions on page 79 or use the drivers that came with your SCSI device.
