At ASKO, we design and manufacture premium quality dishwashers and laundry products with a
special Scandinavian touch for form and function. Ever since we began to manufacture washing
machines in the early 1950s, our goal has been to produce premium quality products that will
meet and exceed our customers’ expectations for many years to come. How do we build
durability? We test all our products before they leave our factories and we also perform long life
tests of 12,500 hours on our dishwashers, equal to approximately 20 years of use.
We are proud that our products meet the highest demands in design, function and durability, as
well as environmental awareness. They clean better, use less water and last longer. Accordingly, we
are also certied to ISO 9001:2000 standards, which ensure that our products are always of the

ASKO factories have always had nature on their doorstep.
Therefore, it is natural for us to preserve and protect our
environment. We continuously strive to nd the most environmentally friendly solutions and
economical use of resources in the manufacturing of our products. By caring for the
environment, we work to minimize the environmental impact of all our activities and products.
Our dishwashers are among the most water and energy efcient on the market. In 2007,
we were proud to introduce the world’s rst Swan labeled dishwasher. The Swan label is the
most well known Nordic Ecolabel for health and environmentally friendly products, and a
Swan label certies that the products meet very strict and tough demands for quality and
the environment. All ASKO dishwashers are rated by Energy Star®, an organization that
helps consumers choose energy-efcient and environmentally friendly products.
ASKO factories also have environmental certication in accordance with ISO 14001:2004
which means that everything is done in the most environmentally friendly way possible. As
an example, all components in our appliances that weigh more than 25 grams are labeled for
recycling.
In North America
ASKO products have been marketed throughout North America by
ASKO Appliances, Inc. for over 21 years. As an Energy Star® Partner,
ASKO is a leader who exceeds Energy Star standards while developing innovative dishwashers,
washing machines, and dryers that save water and energy, all while providing superior

The combination of everyday functionality,
timeless design, environmental concern and
clean lines is the principal hallmark of ASKO’s
design. The fundamental idea is that carefully

SCANDINAVIAN DESIGN
To distinguish ourselves in a market of cluttered and
complex designs, we aim for a soft, humanistic minimalism
based on the principle of quiet being the new loud. The key
elements of Scandinavian design – understated elegance,

reected in ASKO’s design elements. Much emphasis is also

The new generation of dishwashers, the XXL D5000 series, has the world’s largest loading height and
most usable space, plus a unique new exible four rack system with a combination of up to seven
baskets. The D5000 models can also accomodate larger plates - at least 13 ¾” and up to 15 ⅓” - as
well as larger pots and pans and taller kitchen utensils.

ASKO’s dishwashers are made of steel; no other
dishwasher has so many parts made of steel instead of
plastic. The tank is held securely in the outer frame with
four stainless bolts. This is a unique, durable solution
that you will only find in ASKO dishwashers. No other
material lasts as long as steel, especially in environments
where water, rinse aid and detergent are everyday
factors. This is why we manufacture our dishwashers
with nine of the most important components made from
high-quality steel rather than plastic: tank, loading racks,
spray pipe, spray arms, filters, outer base, adjustable
leveling legs, upper basket rails and flow-through heater.

With the world’s largest loading height and a unique new exible 4 level rack system with up to 7
baskets, our new generation of XXL dishwashers enable you to wash larger loads and more place
settings (17) than ever before. Compared to a standard dishwasher that can only hold 12 place
settings, you can load 40% more in our XXL machine. It also has extremely low water
consumption using only 0.15 gallon per place setting.

ASKO has the perfect solution to address your American Disability Act
(ADA) height compliance and the remodeler’s raised suboor
installations!
Our D3000 Series dishwashers, models D3251 and D3112, provide the
quality, energy efciency, quiet operation and performance you would
expect from an ASKO dishwasher. In addition, the D3000 series provides
the installation solutions to adapt to several special household
applications. The product design allows the ability to lower the required
installation height to an industry low of 32 ¼”, which aligns with the
ADA height compliance requirement.
For the remodeler, this special height capability enables you to install
a D3000 series dishwasher into an existing installation location that is
hampered by restricted height, due to raised oor situations.

Dishwasher racks
ASKO’s dishwasher racks are exible and sturdy, made with heavy gauge steel wire coated with
a nylon/graphite material called Viscant™, making them extra durable. Their mesh is ner than in
other dishwashers, in order to keep your dishes and utensils in place. All ASKO lower racks can
be fully extended onto the dishwasher door. You’ll nd that ASKO dishwashers are much easier to
load and unload and they provide you with endless loading possibilities and exibility.
New Middle Rack Cutlery Basket
Our new middle rack gives you more flexibility and more
loading capacity. It is divided into two baskets: one designed
for large utensils (whisks, knives, spatulas, etc.) which are
difficult to place in the upper or lower rack, and another
basket for glasses, breakfast and/or soup bowls and cups which
are tricky to place in an upper rack due to their shape and
size. This rack also has its own unique spray zone. Both
baskets are removable separately for flexible loading. By
removing them you increase the loading height in the lower
rack.
Knife Rack
In order to protect children, glass and china, you can place
sharp knives in the special knife rack protectively installed in
the top of the dishwasher. The rack has its own spray system

sorting your cutlery. The well-thought-out design allows
your forks and knives to dry faster, eliminating any collection
of water. It is also stable and the handle is ergonomically
adjusted for easy loading and unloading. The space below the
handle is extra high to prevent you from cutting yourself on
knives or other sharp objects.
The small CutleryPlus™ basket can be
placed (and filled with, for instance, smaller
spoons) in the upper rack or in another
part of the lower rack - all for flexible
loading. If you wash a lot of silver and
stainless steel you can now separate them
to avoid discoloration.
FlexiRacks™ assortment
Exclusive - Lower Rack Exclusive - Upper Rack
As the name suggests, this rack has everything and a little bit
more. The rack offers extra high sides to protect your dishes
and the upper wire is ¼” thick for the best stability. It’s also
extremely flexible as the back row of plate holders folds down
and divides.
Even greater flexibility with two height-adjustable fold-down
stemware shelves and a foldable plate holder. This rack also
features a china guard that prevents placing items that are too
tall in the lower rack. Two foldable glass supports make room
for five rows of glasses. (Height-adjustable available for D5000
XXL models.)
Standard - Lower Rack Premium - Upper Rack
Sturdier, higher and with a finer mesh than in other makes of
dishwasher. Consequently your dishes stand more firmly, and
you enjoy greater flexibility. We’ve also strengthened the
support wheels, so you can easily load up to 44 lbs.
Offers two height-adjustable, fold-down stemware shelves with
fixed glass support. A finer mesh also makes it easier to keep
small items firmly supported. A handle at the front makes it
simple to move the rack in and out. (Height-adjustable
available for the D5000 XXL models.)
Encore - Lower Rack Encore - Exclusive Upper Rack
The lower Encore rack is completely unique and can easily be
adapted to the the type of load that is being washed. Whether
it is a load full of pots and pans, glasses, large kitchen utensils
or baking trays, the racks can be transformed with special
rack inserts. 3 stemware and 1 platter / pots and pans insert
comes standard.
Even greater flexibility with two height-adjustable fold-down

Glossary
A
Auto Wash
The intelligent automatic program. You no longer have to think about
which program or option to choose to clean and dry different kinds of
loads. ASKO’s Auto Wash controls both cleaning and drying (on some
models) automatically. All you need to do is press the start button, and
the SensiClean™ sensor ensures you have the right temperature, cycle
and drying for perfect results - with minimum time, water and energy
consumption.
AquaDetect™ sensor
A unique sensor system that detects whether the machine’s inlets valve
is leaking. The system then repeatedly tries to close the valve
electronically, and if this fails the automatic drain pump starts up and
the water is pumped out. The sensors also detect if the quantity of
water is rising above the safety level. They then close off the water and
empty the dishwasher to the right level before the program continues.
Even the most unexpected things can happen, for example the sensors
and valves could stop working. This is why the drain pump can pump
out five times more water than the inlet valve lets in.
AquaLevel™ sensor
Our sensors work together intelligently to ensure an optimum water
level in the machine. The sensors detect when the quantity of water
exactly matches the program you have selected, and it always lets in the
right amount of water regardless of the water pressure. Also, the
sensors monitor the entire wash process and remedy any
shortcomings during the program. If, for example, you wash a large
plastic bowl which gets turned over and fills up with water, reducing the
amount of effective water in the dishwasher, the machine immediately
adds new water to ensure the full cleaning result. The sensors also
make sure that the dishwasher does not start should you happen to
forget to turn the water on.
AquaSafe™
To assure ourselves that you won’t experience floods in the kitchen,
we’ve developed AquaSafe™, an advanced water safety program that
partly consists of sensors that detect even the slightest leak. The
system comprises 16 different points, all of which help ensure a
leak-safe dishwasher for many years of problem-free operation.

Delay Start
Allows you to delay starting of the dishwasher from ½-24 hours
(varies depending on model.)
Delicate wash/Glass wash
A very gentle program that carefully washes delicate items so they
are sparkling clean. Ideal for sensitive items such as fragile glasses, for
example. First a main wash including pre-soak at a basic temperature of
105ºF/40ºC, followed by two rinses and drying with low spray
pressure.

EasyInstall™
Water, electrical and drain supply lines are already connected, making it
easy to install your ASKO dishwasher.

Fully Integrated design (FI)

Half load wash
You should not have to run the dishwasher at full capacity if it is only
half full. Thanks to the 1/2 Load function you can select a wash in the
upper or lower rack only. The spraying arm diverter then chooses to
activate either the upper or the lower spraying arm. You save water,
energy and time, while your load is just as clean as usual.

CoolTouch™
A fan cools the dishes down to hand temperature in 30 minutes,
so there’s no risk of handling hot dishes when unloading the machine.

Convection Drying
Drying process that uses the residual heat from the nal rinse and the
stainless steel interior liner to evaporate moisture from the dishes.

Heavy wash
This program can clean the dirtiest dishes. First there is a pre-wash at
105ºF /40ºC, then a cold pre-wash and the main wash at 160ºF/ 70ºC
to ensure that heavily soiled loads are completely clean. This is
followed by a spray, three rinses and drying.

KidLock™
A two-hand childlock on the door. You have to hold in the childlock
at the same time as opening the door with the handle. This necessary
two-hand maneuver is not something children can manage, so the
dishwasher’s like a locked door to them. However, the childlock is easy
for an adult to activate and deactivate.
KidSafe™
As safe as a bank vault we’ve heard, which isn’t that far off the mark,
at least when it comes to children. Because children’s curiosity has no
limits, we’ve built in barriers and locks to make it virtually impossible to
start and get into the machine. The barriers can be easily activated or
deactivated by an adult.

Memory Function
All you need to do is press start. The memory function always keeps
track of which program and options you used last.
Mix wash
The program is adapted for lightly soiled/delicate items in the upper
rack (with low spray pressure) and heavily soiled/robust items in the
lower rack (with normal spray pressure). First a main wash including a
pre-soak at the basic temperature of 30ºF/ 55ºC. This is followed by a
spray, two rinses and drying.

Normal wash
Probably the program you will use the most if you do not have Auto
Wash. Suitable for all kinds of standard-soiled loads. First a pre-wash,
followed by the main wash at a basic temperature of 130º/F 55ºC, then
a spray, two rinses and drying.
P
PowerZone™ cutlery
Separate spraying of the cutlery basket. Cutlery can get really dirty and
be hard to clean. A separate spray nozzle therefore concentrates on
making everything you put in the cutlery basket very clean. The results
are dazzling. A separate top nozzle sprays the knife basket with the same
great result.
SensiClean™
This auto wash sensor automatically adjusts the AutoWash™ program
to t the current load, ensuring correct water levels and wash
temperatures for every load.

SensiDry™
ASKO’s patent-pending drying sensor measures the moisture both
inside and outside the machine. Meanwhile, it also senses the amount
and type of load in the machine and adjusts the drying time accordingly.
Consequently, your entire load is completely dry in the shortest possible
time, whatever kind of climate you live in. (D5893 only)
SuperCleaningSystem™
ASKO’s patented dishwashing system cleans the fine strainer and all
the interior surfaces after pre-wash before running the main wash.
This means that the wash starts with rinsed dishes, a clean machine, an
empty strainer and fresh, clean water. The advantage of this process is
that the dishes come out cleaner as they are washed without grease
and left-over food. But you also save water, electricity and effort as you
do not need to rinse the dishes by hand before loading the machine.
SuperRinse™
By choosing the SuperRinse™ option you get two extra rinses after
the main program.
10Spray™
ASKO’s spray system consists of 10 highly effective spray zones which
ensure that the whole load gets totally clean. Two PowerZones™ are
located below the lower rack making the cleaning performance
perfect even for the dirtiest pots and pans. The third PowerZone™
concentrates directly on your cutlery.
PowerZone™ pots & pans
Unique pan spraying. At some time or another we all leave saucepans on
the stove. The rice or the sauce gets stuck on the bottom, and there are
better ways of spending your time than washing these pots and pans by
hand. ASKO’s patented spray nozzle shoots water right into the saucepan
and does the dirty work for you. The result is unbeatable - even better
than washing by hand.
PowerZone™ plates
No more pre-washing or rinsing plates because this spray nozzle
concentrates directly on them for clean, sparkling results everytime.

Quick wash
A perfect program if you only want to wash lightly soiled cups, glasses
and china. Takes 60 minutes (or 20 minutes on low temperature.)

Rinse & Dry
A rinsing program that sprays the load at120ºF/ 50ºC and then dries it.

Turbo Fan
ASKO’s fan-dry system gets the load completely dry. After the final rinse,
