General information on operating instructions

This annex applies only to supplement the operating instructions for control valves
„STEVI®470-G/471-G“ and „STEVI®422-G/462-G“, DIN-DVGW type approved version acc.
to EN 13611.

Requirements at the place of installation

To prevent penetration of foreign particles, a strainer with a maximum mesh size of 1,5 mm
has to be provided before the valve in the pipeline.

Installation instructions concerning actuators

Normally, control valves are supplied complete with fitted actuators. A later attachment of
an actuator is only allowed with the consent of the valve manufacturer. The provided
actuators must ensure the actuating force for a proper function of the control valve and
meet the requirements of DIN EN 13611.

Care and maintenance

For the lubrication of the stem sealing and stem guids only DIN-DVGW tested lubricants
must be used, e.g. Fa. Bechem Ceritol PG3F.
