Specifications

The multi-entrance adapter(s) shall be
Alpha Communications® model IA502, or
approved equal. Unit(s) shall provide t he
control and power circuits needed to
switc h the audio and door release
funct ions, to the c alling ent rance station.
Unit(s) shall be used in addition to
standard system amplifier. Low voltage
wiring shall be used and a plug-in
wiring harness shall be provided for
installation wiring. The IA502 unit(s) shall
be installed adjacent to the intercom
amplifier.

Contract or shall observe all local and
national elect rical and building codes.

IA502 Multi-Entrance Switching Adapter

The Alpha Communicat ions® IA502 multi-entrance adapters are used with our IA543, and
the older PK543A, PK543 and PK205 series amplifiers only. T hey provide audio intercom and
door release switc hing for two (2) to eight (8) entranc es (depending on how many IA502's
are used).

The IA502 adapters are used in addition to t he system amplifier, and power off of the same
transformer. A plug-in wiring harness makes installation quick and easy.

You must add one (1) IA502 switching adapter t o eac h entrance, after t he first
entrance, up to a maximum of eight (8) entrances (using a maximum of seven (7) IA502
units).
