IR150SS Remote Rescue Station with Intercom (St.

Steel)

The Alpha Communicat ions® / TekTone IR150SS (flush)
and IR150SS/S (surface) Remot e Call Stations may be used to
provide efficient communications to the NC150R (and/or NC150N)
Area of Rescue Master Control Station(s). IR150SS and/or

IR150SS/S Remote Call Stations are located in areas of rescue

assistanc e, to provide two-way hands-free communication to a
central location from which help may be summoned. Calls
are placed by pressing a large, 2.36" (60mm) mushroom st yle
momentary pushbutton. Solid state indicators on t he fac eplate
indicate when a c all has been placed and when the intercom is in
use.

Architects' And Engineers' Specifications

Remote c all station(s) shall be Alpha Communicat ions® / TekTone IR150SS (flush mount) and/or IR150SS/S (surfac e mount) or approved
equal. Stat ion(s) shall provide a callplaced indicat or, a 2.36" (60mm) mushroom-style c all push button, a c ancel button and an audio-on
indicator. T he station(s) shall include a 3.50" round speaker/microphone with voice response. All c omponents of t he station shall be mounted
on a durable brushed Stainless Steel faceplate. Positive screw terminals shall be used for electrical c onnections. The IR150SS shall flush
mount over a model OH600 bac k box (mounted horizontally). The IR150SS/S shall surface mount right on the surfac e of the wall, without
the need for a bac k box. When used with the NC150R series system, contract or shall furnish and install a model RSN7049 instruction sign,
adjacent to each IR150SS and/or IR150SS/S remot e c all stat ion.

Contract or shall observe all local and national (and elec trical (and A.D.A.) codes.

PLEASE NOTE: As of March 2009 the IR150SS and IR150SS/S Remote Call Stations no longer have black or red coloring within the
engraved button labels (as shown above). During a review of the current ADA specifications, it was determined that the coloring
was not required.
