The handset st ation shall be Alpha
Communications® / S.T.R.™ HT2009/2
(2-Wire), HT2001/2 (3-Wire) or HT2003/2
(5-Wire), in (White, Grey, Ivory, Brown or
Black) color. Handset shall be mounted
(surface, flush or desktop). Handset shall
feature elect ret condenser microphone for
exceptional voice fidelity. Handsets that
include carbon transmitter or other voice
tec hnologies shall not be ac c eptable.
Handset shall have a textured finish and
heavy- duty coil cord. Handset shall
include a door release (KEY SY MBOL)
button and auxiliary (RED DOT) push
button. Push butt ons shall be c learly
visible and shall be marked in a different
color. Handset shall include an adjustable
volume AC buzzer (or optional R2007
AlphaTone™ adapt er).

The Alpha Communicat ions® / S.T .R.™ HT2000 Series handsets are designed to work as an
apartment type handset intercom station and as a remote paging type handset for
industrial and commercial applications.

Choose from White, Grey, Ivory, Brown or Black in either a 2-Wire (HT2009/2), 3-Wire
(HT2001/2) or 5-Wire (HT2003/2) configuration, depending upon the system in which it is
being used.

These attractive handset s easily surface mount right on the wall or over a single gang flush
elect rical back box (or plaster ring). Handsets can be c hanged to desk mount with the
addition of a model TZ1003 desk adapter, or c an be flush mounted with t he addition of a
Model UM1004 flush housing/trim assembly.

All HT2000 series handsets feat ure textured finish (to minimize scratc hes and fingerprints),
elect ric buzzer signalling (adjustable), heavy duty coiled c ord with st rain relief and (2)
two momentary button switches. T hese switches c an be used for door release, paging or
other signalling funct ions, depending upon system configuration.

With the addition of a low-c ost Model R2007 AlphaTone™ c hime adapter, you c an easily
change the electric buzzer to a modern warble chime tone sound.
