Workaround for “No Auto-Detection of Cassettes”

1 Problem

Cassette auto-detection does not work any more after Service Pack 5 has been installed on the PRID station. This happens only if the PC has a Pentium III processor inside.

2 Reason

The current Java runtime version (classes.jar) has problems when run together with Service Pack 5 and Pentium III processors.

3 Workaround

There are two workarounds responding to that problem. Perform only one of the following actions:

Copying the file “classes.jar”

Change the Target line in the Properties Window

Note: The file classes.jar can be downloaded from the mailbox.

Copy the file “classes.jar” to the directory “c:\prid”: <copy A:\classes.jar C:\prid\classes.jar>

Restart the program.
