UNPACKING, ASSEMBLY & SET UP

UNPACKING & ASSEMBLY
1)
Carefully remove OHP from packaging. (Complete and return guarantee card. UK only).
2)
Unfold OHP from flat position by lifting and rotating column (E) towards the vertical and
rotating head unit (C). (Refer to Diagram 2).
3)
Rotate Column (E) until fully vertical ensuring column release catch (J) engages. Rotate
head unit (C) to the horizontal position. (Refer to Diagram 3).
4)
Raise mirror (A) to approximately 45° (see Diagram 4 for correct position). Firmly insert
plug (refer to Diagram 6) into OHP socket (refer to Diagram 5) and connect to electricity
supply.
YOUR PROJECTOR IS NOW READY TO BE SWITCHED ON.
SET UP
1)
Switch projector on using ON/OFF switch (F). Move projector forward or backward to
obtain the desired picture projection size.
2)
Place transparency on reflective fresnel lens (H) and rotate lever on vari-focal lens (D)
until projected image is clear and sharp.

MAINTENANCE & CARE

REPLACING THE FUSE
The Euro-socket is fitted with a fuse. If you suspect a blown fuse the procedure for replacement
is as follows:-
1)
Switch off OHP at ON/OFF switch (F) and at mains socket.
2)
Disconnect the Euro-plug from the Euro-socket.
3)
Pull out the fuse draw (diagram 5).
4)
Lift out suspect fuse and replace with another of the specified type.
5)
Close fuse holder draw. Reconnect Euro-plug to Euro-socket. The OHP is now ready for use
REPLACING THE LAMP
1)
Switch off OHP at ON/OFF switch (F) and at mains socket.
2)
Disconnect the Euro-plug from the Euro-socket.
3)
Allow OHP to cool before attempting lamp replacement.
4)
Slide back button and open lamp removal cover (B). (Refer to Diagram LR1 & LR2).
5)
Rotate mirror mounting assembly (which is situated above the lamps) out of head unit.
(Refer to Diagram LR3).
6)
Remove the lamp from the lamp holder and discard of properly.
WARNING - Beware of sharp edges on the surrounding metalwork.
7)
Install a new lamp of the specified type using the handling procedures described by the
lamp manufacturer.
8)
Confirm lamp element is positioned centrally over the lamp box mirror and adjust
appropriately.
9)
Close the mirror mounting assembly and ensure it is lying flat.
10)
Close the lamp removal cover (B) and reset the lamp change slider (G) to position ‘lamp 1’.
11)
Reconnect the Euro-plug. The OHP is now ready for use.

CLEANING

Periodic cleaning of the OHP is recommended as some components may have their
performance impaired by enviromental conditions. The following procedure should be
followed:-
1)
Switch off OHP at ON/OFF switch (F) and at mains socket.
2)
Disconnect the Euro-plug from the Euro-socket.
3)
Allow OHP to cool.
4)
Head unit - the mirror surface (A) should be wiped with a soft, lint free cloth.
N.B. - avoid scratching the mirrors surface.
5)
The vari-focal lens should be wiped with a soft, lint free cloth.
6)
The reflective fresnel lens (H) may be cleaned with a soft cloth and a mild non-abrasive
cleaning solution.
SAFE GUARDS
DO NOT obstruct the air vents.
1)
DO NOT leave the OHP unattended when switched on, especially when the OHP is used
2)
near children.
3)
DO NOT touch any part of the OHP that may become hot.
4)
DO NOT touch any parts of the OHP if the power cables are damaged or if the OHP has
been dropped and damaged in any way. In these circumstances a qualified person should
check the OHP before use.
5)
DO NOT leave the power cable where it can be tripped over or pulled. Make sure it does
not come into contact with any hot surfaces such as pipes or radiators. Make sure the
cable is not squashed or pinched.
6)
DO NOT leave the OHP plugged in when not in use. Always unplug before cleaning or
servicing.
DO NOT immerse OHP in water or other liquids.

DO NOT store in direct sunlight.

DO NOT leave OHP switched on with mirror plate (A) in the down/closed position.
ONLY use the OHP for the intended purpose.

ONLY replace failed components with those of the recommended type.
