Prestige 794M Quick Start Guide

Overview

Use the Prestige for secure Internet access. Refer to the User’s Guide for more information. You need to know
your Internet access information.

The following lists what you need to do:

You need the following items:

• One AC-DC power adaptor

• One RJ-45 Ethernet cable

• One twisted-pair (RJ-11) telephone cable

• A computer

Follow the instructions to make minimum hardware connection for initial setup.

1 Using a telephone cable, connect one LINE port to a telephone jack with Internet access.

2 Using an Ethernet cable, connect a computer to one of the LAN ports.

3 Connect the PWR

4 Push in the power button to turn on the Prestige.

1.1 The LEDs

When you connect the power, the PWR LED turns on. The SYS LED
blinks while performing system testing. The SYS LED stays on if the
testing is successful.

The appropriate LAN

and LINE LEDs turn on if the corresponding connections are properly made.
