Notes:

The P-660HW-D1, is 4th generation of ZyXEL ADSL product family. It is a high
performance ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ router for small/medium office to have Internet
access and LAN-to-LAN application over the existing copper line. P-660HW-D1 takes
advantage of much higher data rate than ADSL, speed up to 12Mbps (ADSL2) or 26Mbps
(ADSL2+), greater reach, faster start-up, advanced diagnostics and better power
management. This high performance ADSL router is a high integrated advanced Firewall,
Bandwidth Management and IEEE 802.11g wireless features to meet the demand of
high-end market.
P-660HW-D1 provides an embedded mini-PCI module for 802.11g Wireless LAN
connectivity, four single auto-sensing, auto-detection 10/100BASE-T Ethernet ports for
connection to the user’s local network, and a single RJ-11/RJ-45 port for connection to
ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ line.

TriplePlay ,the LAN PC ping DHCP Server,can’t success. Disable TriplePlay ,the LAN PC
ping DHCP Server, successful.

Symptom: More connection has problem.

Condition: When you choose PPP encapsulation in Wan/More Connection, it will crush
or reboot: PPPoE + LLC + Dynamic/Static IP, PPPoA + LLC + Dynamic/Static IP,
PPPoA + VC + Static IP will lead to crush, PPPoA + VC + Dynamic IP will lead to
reboot.

Symptom: Reboot Device have some problem

Condition: step1:In GUI,change System name. step2:In CLI,change baud = 115200.

Step2 When DSL Auto detected fails, select Bridge RFC1483 mode and apply it. It will
still show this configuration page.
Step3 But enter Advance Setup you can see the configuration have been saved
successfully

4. [BUG FIX] SPRID: 060915962

Symptom: Bandwidth MGMT rule with bandwidth larger than 65535 can’t be added
correctly.

Condition: Step1.Bandwidth MGMT-＞Summary LAN interface-＞Speed set to

100000.
Step2. Enter Bandwidth MGMT-＞Rule Setup and add a rule with Bandwidth smaller
than 65536, it will be added correctly.
Step3. Enter Bandwidth MGMT-＞Rule Setup and add a rule with Bandwidth larger
than 65536, the bandwidth which will be saved is the bandwidth you have entered

subtract 65536, for example you have entered 65537, it will be saved as 1

Condition: Step1: set Security Mode : Static WEP. The Status page show WEP:64-bit

Condition: Step1. Restore default setting.

the device will crash.

Or if you choose Back, then edit the connection again, it will enter Address Mapping

rule edit directly.

Symptom: When deleting firewall rules, it has problem.
Condition: Step1. In default setting, add 5~6 firewall rules in GUI.
Step2. Delete one of the rules, two rules may be deleted together and the firewall rule

numbers may be disordered. Step3. It will happen sometimes, but the frequence is very
high.

Symptom: When add new rule after rule number 9 ,it will show error.
Condition: step 1.Add nine firewall rules.
step 2.Insert a new rule after rule number 9,it shows "INTERNEL ERROR".
but insert a new rule after rule number 1~8,it can be inserted successfully.

Symptom: In GUI bandwidth management, when you add more than nine rules, it will

show ”Number of classes reaches the upper bound. Max classes is 9”

Symptom: GUI status can’t show correct information.
Condition: When WLAN 4x mode enabled, and one client connect to the AP, the

transmission rate shows 125M in client,but in GUI status shows 54M.

Problem Symptom:In GUI-＞WAN ,Set two or more remote node, and use same

encapsulation,different VPI/VCI,set static IP. Then delete one rule and set the same
setting in other remote node. Lan PC or device ping the gateway, the device will crash.

Step1:GUI-＞WAN set two remote node,and use same encapsulation,different VPI/VCI,

and set static IP. Lan PC ping remote node 2 gateway successfully.

Setp2: Delete the remote node 2, and set the same setting in other rule, such as remote

node 5. Lan PC ping remote node 5 gateway, the device will crash.

Symptom: CI Command "ip nat server clear [set#]" can not work
Condition: step1:In SMT or GUI add several server

step2:In SMT,use CI Command "ip nat server load [set#]","ip nat server clear [set#]"
and "ip nat server save",it can not clear the server [set#].

Symptom:When you add Firewall Rules, another rule will be added automatically.
Condition:1.Add rules one by one,2.When you add the fourth rule, the rule you have

edited will be added, and the fifth rule with default setting will be added
automatically.3.You can add rules continuously, it always shows the same results. For
example, you add the sixth rule , the seventh rule with default setting will be added
automatically

Symptom: Can't add 11th Port Forwarding set in eWC NAT.
Condition: If want to add 11th Port Forwarding set, system displays "Max number of

Port Forwarding rules can be added is 11" and won't accept. Iin CI, system allow users to
add 11th set and can see it in eWC.

Symptom: LCP echo request ,LCP echo reply and OAM packets are lost under some

stress test.

Condition: PC uploads data via Iperf traffic load simulator with UDP packets ,then

PPPoA connection disconnects after 30-60 seconds and recovers after 30-40 seconds.

change New Time and New Date, then click “Apply”. step4. Set the time server, this
time it can get current date from time server, but can’t get current time.

Problem Symptom: Disable the Wireless function, after period of times, LAN PC with

fixed IP ping LAN IP, only the first several ICMP reply packets can be received, then
will show “Request timed out”.
Problem Condition: step1. Use default setting, but disable the Wireless function. step2.
Using a LAN PC with fix IP (EX: 192.168.1.50) ping the DUT LAN IP (192.168.1.1),
and the ping traffic can be handled properly at this moment. step3. Stop the ping traffic
running from 192.168.1.50 to 192.168.1.1, and just leave the DUT powered on. step4.
After about 20 hours, start again the ping traffic from LAN PC to the DUT, will found
only the first several ICMP reply packets can be received, then will show “Request
timed out”, so others can not received.

issue is still exist.

Problem Symptom: When DUT use static IP and set DNS server address in GUI-＞
wizard, LAN PC won＇t resolve domain name.
Problem Condition: Step1. Login with user password, configure DUT use static IP and

Problem Symptom: Whiteboard can’t work well when UPNP is enabling.
Problem Condition: Step1.firewall is enabling. Step2.Enable UPNP, WAN first ask for
whiteboard, the whiteboard can’t work. Step3.Enable UPNP and “allow users to make
configuration changes through UPnP”, the Whiteboard can’t work from LAN to WAN,
or WAN to LAN.

Problem Symptom: The word “dasable” in CI command “wan callsch action” was
spelled wrong
Problem Condition: Issue CI command ”wan callsch action”, it show [0:force on|
1:force down| 2:enable dial-on-command | 3:dasable dial-on command], the
word ”dasable” was spelled wrong, it should be ”disable”.

Problem Symptom: in the status page, the word “secondes” was spelled wrong.
Problem Condition: login in with user password or with admin password, in the status
page, the Refresh Interval item, the word “secondes” was spelled wrong, it should be

Step2. in LAN PC, issue DOS command “ipconfig/release” and “ipconfig/renew”,
after the LAN PC get new IP address, the default gateway is still 192.168.1.1, but not

click “INTERNET/WIRELESS SETUP ”, it will Auto detecting ISP, then access the
wizard setup page setp3. click “back”button to return the page, click the
“INTERNET/WIRELESS SETUP” again, after it auto detecting ISP, it will show
connection test successful page, and you can’t access the wizard set up page.
