1IntroductiontotheCloudTerminal

1.1FCCStatement

FCCStatement

ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevice,

pursuanttopart15oftheFCCRules.Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovidereasonableprotection

againstharmfulinterferenceinaresidentialinstallation.Thisequipmentgenerates,usesandcan

radiateradiofrequencyenergyand,ifnotinstalledandusedinaccordancewiththeinstructions,may

causeharmfulinterferencetoradiocommunications.However,thereisnoguaranteethatinterference

willnotoccurinaparticularinstallation.Ifthisequipmentdoescauseharmfulinterferencetoradio

ortelevisionreception,whichcanbedeterminedbyturningtheequipmentoffandon,theuseris

encouragedtotrytocorrecttheinterferencebyoneormoreofthefollowingmeasures:

�Reorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna.

�Increasetheseparationbetweentheequipmentandreceiver.

�Connecttheequipmentintoanoutletonacircuitdifferentfromthattowhichthereceiveris

FCCRadiationExposureStatement

ThisdevicecomplieswithFCCradiationexposurelimitssetforthforanuncontrolledenvironmentand

italsocomplieswithPart15oftheFCCRFRules.Thisequipmentmustbeinstalledandoperatedin

accordancewithprovidedinstructionsandtheantenna(s)usedforthistransmittermustbeinstalled

toprovideaseparationdistanceofatleast20cmfromallpersonsandmustnotbeco-locatedor

operatinginconjunctionwithanyotherantennaortransmitter.End-usersandinstallersmustbe

providewithantennainstallationinstructionsandconsiderremovingtheno-collocationstatement.

ThisdevicecomplieswithPart15oftheFCCRules.Operationissubjecttothefollowingtwo

conditions:

1.Thisdevicemaynotcauseharmfulinterference.

2.Thisdevicemustacceptanyinterferencereceived,includinginterferencethatmaycause

undesiredoperation.

1.2SafetyPrecautions

Installation

�UsethepoweradapterdeliveredwiththeZXCLOUDiBOXCT320(hereinafterreferredtoas

thecloudterminal).Useofanyotherpoweradaptercandamagethecloudterminaloraffectits

normaloperation.

�Ensurethattheelectricloadofthepowersocketsorpowercablesmeetstherequirements.

Overloadedpowersocketsorbrokenpowercablescanresultinanelectricshockorare.Check

thepowercablesregularly.Ifanypowercableisbroken,replaceitimmediately .

�Donotdisassemblethecloudterminalyourself.

�Keepthecloudterminalawayfromheatsourcesorhightemperatureenvironments.Donot

directlyexposethecloudterminaltosunlight.

�Donotexposethecloudterminaltomoistconditionsorwater.Donotspillanyliquidontothe

cloudterminal.

Usage

�Keeptheventilationopeningsfree.Donotplaceanyobjectstoblocktheventilationopeningsof

thecloudterminal.

�Allowsufcientspacearoundthecloudterminalforventilation.Keepthepoweroutletscleanand

dry.Ifanyofthefollowingabnormalityoccurs(suchassmoke/abnormalsounds/smell),unplug

thecloudterminalfromthepoweroutlet.

�Avoidconnectingthecloudterminaltoanypoweroutletthatcanbeaccidentallyswitchedoff.

Accidentallossofpowercandamagethecloudterminal.

�Donothardresetthecloudterminalbyholdingdownthepowerbuttonduringnormaloperation.

�Donotinterruptpowerwhilethecloudterminalisdownloadingasoftwareupdate.

�Whenturningoffthecloudterminal,performacompleteshutdown(bytheuserinterfaceora

lightpressonthepowerbutton).DonotturnoffthecloudterminalbydisconnectingtheAC/DC

powercord.

Servicing

Ifyoudisassembleorrepairthecloudterminalyourself,yourwarrantywillbevoid.Contacttheservice

providerifanyofthefollowingoccurs:

�Apowercordorplugisdamaged.

�Liquidisspilledintothecloudterminal.

�Thecloudterminalisexposedtorainormoisture.

�Thecloudterminaldoesnotoperatenormallyevenifyoufollowtheinstructionsinthisguide.

�Theexternalpartofthecloudterminalisdamagedduetodroporhit.

�Theoperationindicatorofthecloudterminaldoesnotoperatenormally .

1.3OverviewoftheCloudT erminal

TheZXCLOUDiBOXCT320isathinclientwithoutanymechanicalcomponents.Asadesktopcloud

terminal,ithasasmallsize,lightweightandrequireslowpowerconsumption.Inaddition,itisreliable,

easytouse,andenergysaving.Fortheoverviewofthecloudterminal,seeFigure1.

Thecloudterminalhasabuilt-inWES7/Linuxoperatingsystemandcanbequicklystarted.Itsupports

ZTERAP,CitrixICA,VMwarePCoIP ,andRDP.

Thecloudterminalhasthefollowingfeatures:energy-saving,highefciency ,andlowcostsfor

equipmentinvestment,operation,maintenance,andmanagement.Itallowsenterpriseusersto

reducepowerconsumptionandprovidescentralizedmanagement.

1.4FeaturesoftheCloudTerminal

Thecloudterminalsupportsthemostcompleteuniversalvirtualdesktoptransmissionprotocols

intheindustry,includingCitrixICA,RDP,ZTERAP ,andVMwarePCoIP.

Ifthelabelisprintedwith"POE"or"Wi-Fi",theterminalisconguredwithaPoEorWi-Fimodule.

Otherwise,theterminalisnotconguredwiththecorrespondingmodule.

IftheterminalisconguredwithaWi-Fimodule,itcanbeconnectedtoanetworkthroughthebuilt-in

Wi-Fimodule.

1.6ConnectingtheCloudTerminaltoPeripherals

Beforeaccessingthedesktopcloudsystem,performthefollowingstepstoconnectthecloudterminal

toitsperipherals:

1.Installthecloudterminalproperly.Thecloudterminalcanbeinstalledhorizontallyorverticallyona

horizontalworkbench(T overticallyinstallthecloudterminalontheworkbench,thebasedelivered

withtheterminalmustbeused)ormountedtothebackofadisplayoranotherconcealedlocation

throughabracket(purchasedseparately).

Note:

Tomountthecloudterminaltothebackofadisplay ,ensurethatthedisplaysupportstheVESA

mountmodeandhasmountholesthatcanmatchthecloudterminal.

2.Connectthecloudterminaltorelatedperipherals.Ensurethatthefollowinginputandoutput

devicesareconnectedtotheterminal:avideodisplay,akeyboard,andamouse.Fordetails,

seeFigure4.

Note:

Whenconnectingthecloudterminaltoadisplay ,ensurethattheinputinterfaceoftheterminal

matchesthatofthedisplay.IfthedisplayisconguredwithaDVI-Iinterface,thedisplaycanbe

directlyconnectedtotheterminal.IfthedisplayisonlyconguredwithaVGAinterface,theDVI-I

toVGAconverterdeliveredwiththeterminalmustbeused.

Iftheterminalisconguredwithabuilt-inWi-Fimodule,itcanbedirectlyconnectedtoawireless

APoracloudnetworkthroughtheWi-Fimodule.

3.Connectthepoweradaptertothepowerportofthecloudterminalandthenconnectthepower

adaptertoa110-240VAC,50-60Hzpoweroutlet.

Caution!

Usethepoweradapterdeliveredwiththecloudterminal.Useofanyotherpoweradaptermay

damagetheterminal.Thedamagecausedbyanimproperpoweradapterisnotcoveredbythe

warranty.

Afterconnectingtheterminaltoallrequiredperipherals(includingthepoweradapter),youcan

connecttheterminaltoanACpowersupply.

1.7TurningOn/OfftheCloudTerminal

TurningOntheCloudTerminal

Youcanturnonthecloudterminalbypressingthepoweron/offbuttononthefrontpanelofthecloud

terminal.

Note:

Whenthecloudterminalisbeingstarted,thepowerindicatorlightsred.Afterthecloudterminalis

started,thepowerindicatorlightsgreen.

TurningOfftheCloudTerminal

1.Pressthepoweron/offbuttononthefrontpanelofthecloudterminal.Thedialogboxforshutting

downthecloudterminalisdisplayed.

2.ClicktheSHUTDOWNbutton.Theconrmationdialogboxisdisplayed.

3.ClickOK.

Caution!

Whenturningoffthecloudterminal,performacompleteshutdown(throughtheuserinterfaceorby

pressingthepoweron/offbutton).DonotturnoffthecloudterminalbydisconnectingtheAC/DC

powercordorturningoffthepowerswitch.
