your device for the first time.
1. Connect the adapter to the charger jack. Ensure that the adapter is inserted with the correct orientation. Do not

Extending the Battery Life
Active applications, screen brightness levels, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi usage and GPS functionality can drain your
battery. You can follow the helpful tips below to conserve your battery power:
• Reduce the screen backlight time.
• Lower the screen brightness.
• Turn Bluetooth off when not in use.
• Turn Wi-Fi off when not in use.
• Disable the GPS function when not in use. Most applications using this function will periodically query the GPS
satellites for your current location; each query drains your battery.
• When taking pictures, do not use a flash unless you have to.
Switching Your Phone On/Off
1. Make sure the battery is charged.
2. Hold the Power Key to switch on your phone. If your phone is activated, it will search for Sprint service and
enter the standby mode.
3. To switch it off, hold the Power Key to get the phone options. Select Power off, and then tap OK.
23
Activating Your Phone

packaging.

WARNING: Please note that a touchscreen responds best to a light touch from the pad of your finger. Using
excessive force or a metallic object when pressing on the touchscreen may damage the tempered glass
surface and void the warranty. See “Consumer Limited Warranty” on page xxx.
Switching to Sleep Mode
To save battery power, Sleep Mode suspends your device to a low-power-consumption state while the display is
off. Your device also goes into Sleep Mode by itself when the display is automatically turned off after a certain
period of time, which you can set in Settings > Display > Screen timeout.
