INTRODUCTION

CUP INSTALLATION

Cup Slot

Cup Mounting Holes

To install the Four Slot Battery Charger:

1. Align the four mounting holes on the bottom of Four Slot Battery Charger with the four
studs on the Battery Charger Cup.

2. Place the Four Slot Battery Charger onto the Battery Charger Cup and slide down until it
locks into place.

Slot Alignment Tabs

Use one power supply to provide power to the base. For each Four Slot
battery Charger installed, a separate power supply is required. The power
supply is connected directly to the Four Slot battery Charger.

Plug the power supply connector into the right power input jack on the back of
the cradle base. The left power input jack is used for future expansion.

Rubber Plug

To install the cups:

1. Remove power from the cradle base before installing cups.

2. Remove the rubber plug from each slot.

3. Align the lip of the cup with the slot on the front of the cradle. Ensure that the cup is positioned within the Slot
Alignment Tabs.

4. Slide the lip into the cup slot and rotate the cup until it is flat on the cradle base.

5. Using a Phillips screwdriver, secure the cup to the charger base using the two screws provided with the cup.

6. Each slot on the cradle base must have a cup installed.

7. Repeat for each additional cup.

The Five Slot Universal Charge Only Cradle Base provides power for charging up to five mobile computers. Optional
Charging Cups provide slots for holding the mobile computers. Optional Battery Charger Cups provides mounting for the
Four Slot Battery Chargers. Optional Universal Blank Slot Covers cover empty slots when not all slots are used. Any
combination of cups and covers can be installed on the base.

The cradle base is powered by up to two power supplies for charging the mobile computers. The second power supply is
used for future expansion. Each Four Slot Battery Charger installed on the cradle base must use a separate power supply.

Power Supply

Use ONLY an approved UL LISTED ITE (IEC/EN 60950-1, LPS) power
supply with electrical ratings: Output 12 VDC, 4.16 A, with a maximum
ambient temperature of at least 40 °C. Use of alternative power supply
will invalidate any approvals given to this unit and may be dangerous.

Radio Frequency Interference Requirements-FCC

Note: This equipment has been tested and found to
comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,

pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are
designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference
in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can
radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in
accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to
radio communications. However there is no guarantee that interference
will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause
harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be
determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged
to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following
measures:

• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna

• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver

• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to

which the receiver is connected

• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
