The Installation of RRFCS
1. Installation of RRFCS into the copying machine
1.1.RRFCS-T
RRFCS-T is the TAG and is installed on the CRU – a toner bottle .
An introduction example is shown in the following.
Toner Bottle
1-1 RRFCS-C
RRFCS-C is the Coupler and is mounted to the “LB” which is inside the machine
Pictures are shown below.

1-2 A process to exchange
-The power supply of the machine is turned off.
-The outer cover is opened.
-The toner bottle is removed
-The RRFCS-C is removed.
2. Recommended Actions (example)
2.1. At machine Power-ON (a single attempt is made to communicate with the RRFCS-T)
-RF-ON time – after power on = 30 – 90 seconds
-Initialization / Access time (RRFCS-T not in range) = .5 seconds
-Initialization / Access time (RRFCS-T in range same bottle) = < 1 second
-Initialization / Access time (RRFCS-T in range different bottle) = 2 to 3 seconds
-RF-OFF time – After Initialization / Access time RF is turned off.
2.2. At the machine working
Access interval = Dependent on print coverage area. Typical coverage is 6%.
-Typical Access Interval = 125 seconds
-RF-ON time = On as bottle is rotating typically 30 seconds
- Typical Access time = < 1 second
-RF-OFF time = When bottle is stopped or access time is complete.
1.3. At the machine waiting/standby
Access interval = only when a bottle is installed.
-Initialization / Access time = See times stated in section 2.1.
-RF-ON time = RF is turned on when the outer door closes.
It is on for up to 10 seconds (time-out) attempting to Initialize /
Access if no bottle is installed.
-RF-OFF time = Follows time-out or initialization / access time
