Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Motorola homesight™ siren
accessory. Your siren will work with any homesight device tin
conjunction with a triggered event. For example, if your Door/Window
sensor is armed and configured to trigger an event response when
opened, the siren can set as a device that is set in action on that
triggered event. This Quick Start Guide describes how to set up and
troubleshoot your homesight siren accessory.
Controlling Your Siren
Using your computer and Wireless System Controller, you locally
manage the Siren acccessory by setting events with trigger devices
that will utilize the siren in the event response..
How It Works
The Siren accessory enables you to signal an audible alert to an event
being monitored. If, for example, you are monitoring an area for motion
and this is detected, the siren can be configured to sound when the
area event takes place. In this example, the motion sensor is triggered,
the information relayed to the Wireless System Controller, which
activates the siren to sound, alerting you to the event audibly.

• Position the Siren in closer proximity to your Controller
and try again.
• Ensure that there are no other wireless devices
interfering with the Siren. The Siren transmits on the
418 MHz frequency.
• Ensure that the Siren has been registered properly
with the Wireless System Controller by logging into
your Motorola homesight™ program and reviewing
the Devices list.
• Place the Siren in another location closer to the
Wireless System Controller.
• Consider adding a Motorola Wireless Signal Repeater
(HMAC9100) to your system to increase device signal
communication range.
CAUTION: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Motorola for
compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
