The Garage door module installation notes
When used with the Xanboo Gateway and devices, the Garage door module is designed
to:
Notify the user if the Garage door is in the open or closed position and enable the user to
open or close the Garage door remotely.
Two switch sensors need to be installed on the Right hand Garage door tracks. One at the
bottom of the track to sense the closed position and one on the horizontal portion of the
track to sense the open position.
The installation of the switches
Open your Garage door.
Make sure you remove power to your Garage door opener to prevent accidental operation
during installation.
Carefully unwrap the cable / switch Bundle.
Attach the switch marked “Closed” as per the illustration below on the lowest part of the
right hand track. When the Garage door is closed the lower guide wheel in the Garage
door should press firmly on the actuator.
Using the stick-on cable tidy clips supplied route the cable carefully on the back of the
track ensuring that the Garage door operation does not interfere with the cable at any time.
(Please clean the area that you attaché the cable tidy clips to ensure good adhesion of the
clips)
Rout the cable to a position close to your Garage door Motor.
Next Mount the switch marked “Open” as shown and route the cable carefully to the
same position.
It is advised that you bundle the excess cable in a neat fashion and ensure that the cables
do not interfere or touch the Garage door itself at any time.
Position the Garage door module close to you Garage door Motor (a space on the ceiling
will be best). (Here insert the mounting as per HA and repeater module except show
mounting on a ceiling)
Attach the Multi connector tether from the unit to the cable harness plug (as shown)
Connect the two wires marked (door switch) to the same terminals that are connected to
your door push button.

Tidy all cabling and then attach the supplied power adapter to a wall plug (in most cases
there is a power outlet provided for the Garage door operator unit).
Plug the DC jack in the white adapter socket attached to the main cable harness.
You may now reconnect you Garage door operator and proceed as follows to test your
installation and discover the device to the Gateway.
Close you garage.
Ensure the green LED light on the sensor switch is on. If not you need to adjust the
switch upwards until you see the green light.
Tighten the switch in this position.
Now open the Garage door and adjust the switch forward until you see the green light on
the open switch.
Repeat this a few times and ensure you get the green light every time and adjust and
secure the sensor switches one final time.
Now press the small switch on the front of the module: Your system should initialize. A
second press should close or open your Garage door.
Your physical installation is now complete.
