OUTDOOR GRILL GAS CONVERSION
Tools Required:
1/2” deep socket
Philips head screwdriver
7/16” socket and open box wrench
Socket wrench w/ 6” extension
Thread sealer (pipe dope)
Crescent wrench (to attach coupling or regulator)
Conversion:
Note: All gas connections/conversions should be made by a qualified
technician and in accordance with local codes and ordinances.
•Ensure that you have the proper conversion kit for your grill
size/conversion intent. Conversion kit should include:
•Manifold assembly
•Regulator
•Orifice for rotisserie burner
•Mounting screws (1/4-20 x 4)
•Spacers x 2
•Brass flare fitting for LP conversion only
•Wire ties
•Manifold assembly:
•Remove cooking grates, briquette trays, & grill burners
•Remove knobs & valve panel
•Disconnect gas line, disconnect igniter connectors from valve
switches, loosen wire harness from manifold, and remove the
manifold assembly
•Install new manifold - use screws and spacers provided (spacers
may be needed for bezel alignment)

•Manifold assembly (continued):
•Connect igniter connectors to valve switches and, using wire ties, tie
harness to manifold
•Install the valve panel and align bezels with the knobs
•Adjust the burner air shutter for the appropriate gas type (an “L” and
an “N” are stamped on the air shutter to indicate the appropriate gas
type)
•Install the burners, briquette trays, & cooking grates.
WARNING! IT IS CRITICAL THAT THE GAS BURNERS ARE
PROPERLY INSTALLED WITH THEIR ORIFICES INSIDE THE
BURNER AIR SHUTTERS. If not properly installed, gas may leak
outside the burner, which could lead to fire, potential damage to
your grill, or bodily injury.
•Infrared rotisserie burner orifice assembly:
•Remove rear hood cover to expose infrared burner gas orifice
•Remove rotisserie burner orifice and replace with orifice provided
•Replace rear hood cover
•Regulator:
•For LP conversion, install brass flare fitting to end of manifold using
thread sealer, then install LP hose and regulator assembly
•For NG conversion, install NG regulator to end of manifold using
thread sealer, making sure that the arrow mark on the regulator is
pointing towards the grill
•Check for gas leaks using soapy water solution
•Complete the conversion:
•Fill out the conversion label and place it next to the original serial
number/rating label on the firebox
•Refer to Use and Care Guide, follow instructions for proper electrical
and gas functional test
