Prewash cycle increases programme duration by approximately 20 min. Consumption values were measured in normalized conditions in compliance with standard IEC/EN 60 456. Consumption data in the home may vary with respect to the values in the table in relation to the water supply pressure and temperature, load and type of wash.

*To reduce the water temperature, some cold water is added at the end of the main wash cycle, before the pump drains the water out.

**Reference programme for energy label.

PREPARATION OF THE WASH CYCLE

1.Load the machine, close the drum doors and check that they are properly locked.

2.Add detergent and additives into the dispenser to no more than the “MAX” level mark, as follows:

• Programme with pre and main wash

• Main wash programme without prewash

• Fabric softeners and conditioners

• Stain remover agents

• Anti-scale agents (if necessary)

3.Close the lid.

4.Turn the programme selector to the desired programme. The lamp next to the “Start (Pause)” button flashes.

SELECT THE DESIRED OPTION(S)

Selecting or deselecting an option can be done at any time during the programme. The option will be applied as long as the corresponding programme phase has not been executed yet.

“Prewash” button

Only sensible for heavily soiled loads (for example sand, granular dirt). The cycle time increases by approximately 20 min.

“Intensive Rinse” button

The amount of water is increased to ensure a more intensive rinse.

This option is particularly suitable for areas with very soft water, washing baby linen and for people with skin allergies.

“Cold wash” button

Water is heated only up to 20°C.

Suitable for delicate laundry items with wash temperature recommendation of max. 30°C on the care label.

Selectable only on the lowest temperature step

of each programme. “Rinse hold” button

The laundry remains in the last rinse water without progressing to the final spin cycle to avoid creasing and prevent colours from changing.

This option is particularly recommended for the “Synthetics”, “Delicates” and “Daily load 60’” programmes.

It is useful if you want to postpone spinning to a later time, or if you want to drain only.

If you select “Rinse hold”, do not leave items to soak for too long.

As soon as the appliance stops in the rinse hold, the “Rinse hold” lamp of the programme sequence indicator lights up

and the lamp next to the “Start (Pause)” button flashes.

Terminate the “Rinse hold” option:

Press the “Start (Pause)” button; the programme will terminate automatically with the final spin cycle for the present wash programme.

If you do not wish to spin the clothes, turn the programme selector to the “Drain” programme and

press the “Start (Pause)” button.

“Variable spin” button

Every programme has an automatically preset spin speed.

Press the button to set another spin speed.

If spin speed “0” is selected, the final spin is cancelled and the programme ends with a drain cycle.

START DELAY

The “Start delay” button allows the user to run the machine at his convenience, for example at night when electricity is cheaper.

Select programme, spin speed and options.

Press the “Start delay” button several times to select a delay time of 1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 hours. The corresponding indicator lamp lights up.

Start the programme (see “Programme Start”). The indication next to the “Start delay” button lights up and goes off when the programme starts.

Once having pressed the “Start (Pause)” button, the countdown of the time delay begins. When the programme starts, the “Start delay” indicator light goes off and is replaced by the programme sequence indication.

After the “Start (Pause)” button has been pressed, the number of hours preselected can be reduced by pressing again the “Start Delay” button.

To cancel the “Start Delay”

...before pressing the “Start (Pause)” button:

Turn the programme selector to another position or press the “Reset” button.

...after having pressed the “Start (Pause)” button:

Press the “Reset” button for at least 3 seconds. The start delay indicator goes off.

PROGRAMME START

Turn on the tap and press the “Start (Pause)” button. The lamp next to the “Start (Pause)” button lights up. The programme sequence indicator shows the current programme phase, running from left to right through Wash, Rinse, Spin/Drain. When the programme phase is finished, the corresponding indication goes off.

Note: If there is a power interruption or if the appliance is disconnected during the cycle, the programme will run again from the point where it was interrupted.

“DOOR OPEN” INDICATION

Before starting and after end of a programme, the lamp lights to show that the lid can be opened. As long as a wash programme is running, the lid remains locked and must on no account be forced open. In case you have an urgent need to open it during a running programme, refer to “Cancel (Reset) a running programme before the end”.

RED INDICATIONS

“Service”

Lighting up of the “Service” indication can be caused by a fault in an electrical component. Refer to the “Troubleshooting Guide” in your Instructions for Use; if the fault persists, contact our After Sales Service.

“Water tap closed”

The appliance has no or insufficient water supply. Open the water tap; if the indication still lights up, refer to the “Troubleshooting Guide” in the Instructions for Use.

“Clean pump”

Waste water is not pumped out. Check whether the drain hose is kinked or the filter must be cleaned; in the latter case refer to the Instructions for Use (“Cleaning the Filter”).

PROGRAMME END

All the lights of the programme sequence indicator are off, and the “Door open” indication lights up.

1.Turn the programme selector to the “Off/O” position.

2.Close the water tap.

3.Open lid and drum and unload the machine.

4.Leave the lid open for some time to allow the interior of the machine to dry.

CHANGE PROGRAMME AND/OR OPTIONS AFTER PROGRAMME START

1.Press the “Start (Pause)” button to pause the programme. The light flashes.

2.Select the new programme, any options and another spin speed if you want.

3.Press the “Start (Pause)” button again. The new programme continues at the same position where the previous programme was interrupted. Do not add detergent for this programme.

CANCEL (RESET) A RUNNING PROGRAMME BEFORE THE END

The “Reset” button cancels a programme before the end. Press the “Reset” button for at least 3 seconds. Any existing water is drained out before the lid can be opened.
