Exhaust Bottle Upgrade Instructions
Tools Needed
1. Phillips Screwdriver # 2
2. 7/16 Wrench
3. Crescent Wrench
4. Diagonal Cutters
5. Thread Sealant
Instructions
• Power down the unit, unplug unit from the power receptacle.
• Remove the exhaust bottle. To remove exhaust bottle, remove the two screws from the bracket that
hold the bottle to the back plane. The two screws are accessible from the opposite side of the machine.
• Remove top two Pinch tube covers and remove the tubing on the right side.
• Remove the tie wraps from the hoses, utilizing diagonal cutters. (refer to Fig. 1)
• Remove the two hoses from the exhaust bottle, and save for reuse. (refer to Fig. 1)
• Remove the two male fittings from the female fittings. (refer to Fig. 1)
• Cut an ¼ inch off the two black hoses to compensate for the new fittings to be installed.
• Install the new fittings (2) K1700177 & (2) K360080 into the respective female fittings on the exhaust
bottle, utilizing thread sealant to secure the fittings properly. (refer to Fig. 2)
• Reinstall the shortened thick black hoses onto the new fittings.
• Tie wrap the hoses to the fittings.
• Reinstall the reworked exhaust bottle back into the unit.
• Power up the unit and verify there are no powder leaks. Place unit in the on mode and then press the
standby button observing the exhaust bottle for any possible powder leaks.
• Verify the unit is fully functional by doing a cut test utilizing a learner prep block. (K99-00356-1)
