Quick Reference Card

Power on/Standby

• Powers up the monitor

• Brief press – Sets monitor to Display power saving mode

Battery status

Charging

Approximate operating time remaining

Battery removed or not holding a charge

Input clinician ID with barcode scanner

1. Touch the Clinician ID section (left edge) of the Device Status area.

2. Scan the clinician ID with a barcode scanner.
The ID appears in the field.

3. Touch OK.

Input patient ID with barcode scanner

1. Touch the Home tab.

2. Scan the patient’s ID with a barcode scanner.
The ID appears in the field.

Reset (pause or turn off) audio alarms

Touch .

Adjust alarm limits

Touch or in the alarming parameter to display alarm controls. Adjust a limit or turn off.

Start/Stop blood pressure

Start automatic intervals

1. Properly size the blood pressure cuff and position

it around the patient’s bare upper arm.

2. On the Home tab, touch

3. Select Automatic.

4. Use the numeric keypad to enter the length of
time between NIBP measurements.

5. Touch Start intervals.

Enter manual parameters

1. From the Home tab, touch anywhere within the Manual parameters frame. The Manual tab appears.

2. Touch the up/down arrow keys or the keypad to manually adjust height, weight, pain level, temperature,
respiration rate, or other parameters.

3. Touch OK to confirm settings and return to the Home tab.

Note Entries will not be saved unless you touch OK.

Set modifiers

1. Touch the Patients tab.

2. Touch the Modifiers tab.

3. Adjust the settings as required.

4. Touch OK to accept or Clear to delete all entries.

Note Entries will not be saved unless you touch OK.

Save patient data

After taking patient measurements, touch Save.
A message will appear indicating a successful or failed save.

Manage patient records

Patient records can be sent to the network, printed, or deleted.

1. Touch the Review tab.

2. Select records by touching the check box.

3. Touch Send to transmit the records to the network, Print to print the records,
or Delete to permanently remove the records.

Note The icon indicates the records have been sent to and received by the network.
