INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Lullaby Bear Crib ProjectorTM crib toy!
The Lullaby Bear Crib ProjectorTM will soothe baby into a peaceful sleep. Baby will relax as soothing images project onto the ceiling, while soft melodies, nature sounds and soothing phrases lull baby to sleep. The nursery mode creates a peaceful environment with gentle sing along songs, phrases and melodies. The nature mode will have a softer effect with subtle nature sounds. Press the cute teddy bear button to rotate the melodies, sing along songs or nature sounds.

WARNING: All packing materials, such as tape, plastic sheets,
wire ties and tags are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.
Please loosen the battery cover screws slightly and remove the wire packaging ties.

GETTING STARTED
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit. Use a coin or a screwdriver to loosen the screw.
3. Install 3 new ‘AA’ (AM-3/LR6) batteries foll o w i n g the dia g r a m i nside t h e battery box. (The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance.)
4. Replace the battery cover and tighten the
screw to secure the battery cover.
BATTERY NOTICE
Install batteries correctly observing the polarity (+, -) signs to avoid leakage.
Do not mix old and new batteries.

• Do not mix batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon­zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium).
• Remove the batteries from the equipment when the unit will not be used for an extended period of time.
• Always remove exhausted batteries from the equipment.

• Do not attempt to recharge ordinary batteries.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
• Only batteries of the same and equivalent type as recommended are to be used.

To ensure your child’s safety, the assembly of this product is an adult activity, not a child’s activity. Please ensure that the crib attachment strap is securely locked into position to avoid injury. Follow the
instructionsbelowcarefullyandmakesurethenalassemblyiscorrect.
Attach only to cribs with sturdy rails and spindles. Do not attach to playpens with mesh walls.
Please make sure the crib attachment strap is out of reach from children when placed in the crib. Please ensure the crib light is positioned in the upright position with the projection light facing directly upwards.
Please remove the crib attachment strap from the unit if it is going to be used outside the crib.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place the unit in the crib bringing the strap over the top rail. Slip the top of the strap under the slot on the back of the unit and secure. You can adjust the hanging height by choosing the appropriate hole on the top of the strap.
2. Pull slightly on the unit to make sure the strap has been securely fastened. The unit should be snug against the crib rail. Please check the unit frequently to ensure it is still secure.
PRODUCT FEATURES
1. ON/OFF SWITCH
To turn the unit ON, slide the ON/
OFF/MODE S ELECTOR SWI TC H to the NU RSE RY MODE ( ) or NATURE MODE ( ) position.To turn the unit OFF, slide the ON/OFF/MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to the OFF ( )
position.
2. TIMER SWITCH
Slide the timer switch to the demo, 5
or 10 minute setting. In the demo mode you will hear a short demonstration of the phrases, sounds, songs and melodies. A soothing image will be projected onto the ceiling for a short time.

3. VOLUME CONTROL
To adjust the volume, press the LOW
VOLUME BUTTON (
) or the HIGH

4. LIGHT PROJECTOR SELECTOR
Press the light projector button to
switch the light projector off and on.
5. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
To preserve battery life, the VTech
®
Lullaby Bear Crib ProjectorTM
will automatically power-down without any input after the selected time setting has finished playing. The unit can be turned on again by sliding the timer or mode selector switch.
ACTIVITIES
1. Slide the on/off/mod e selector switch to turn the unit on. You will hear
soothing phrases, sing along songs and soft sounds. A peaceful image will be projected onto the ceiling.

2. Press the bear button to hear a soft sing along song and a variety of melodies in the nursery mode. In the nature mode you will hear one of two phrases followed by a variety of melodies. A soothing image will be projected onto the ceiling.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source.
3. Remove the batteries when the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit
to moisture or water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for som e reas o n th e prog ram/ act i vit y st ops wor k ing or malfunctions,please follow these steps:
1. Please turn the unit OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again.
5. If the product still does not work, replace with an entire set of new batteries.
