Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Garden Bugs 2-in-1 Magic Mobile™ learning toy.
The VTech® Garden Bugs 2-in-1 Magic Mobile™ is the perfect travel companion for baby. This soft mobile features three brightly colored plush bugs that dangle from a transparent canopy and attaches easily and securely to the carrying handle of an infant car seat. For added fun, you can remove the canopy and attach the plush bugs directly to the light-up flower attachment to transform it into to a rattle. Press the light-up button or activate the motion sensor to hear four playful sing­along songs that teach colors, objects and insect names.

GETTING STARTED
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw.
3. Install 2 new ‘AAA’ (AM-4/LR03) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance.)
4. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

BATTERY NOTICE
The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum
performance.
Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being
charged (if removable).
Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult
supervision (if removable).
Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be
mixed.
Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are
to be used.
Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
The toy is not to be connected to more than the recommended
number of power supplies.
Do not dispose of batteries in re.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
With the VTech® Garden Bugs 2-in-1 Magic Mobile™, safety
comes rst. To ensure your child’s safety, adult assembly is required.

Mobile
1. Take the fabric strap from one of the plush bugs and thread it through the tab on the mobile canopy. Fasten the Velcro securely.
2. Attach the remaining plush bugs following the above instructions.
3. Take the fabric strap on the top of the mobile canopy and thread it through the slot on the flower portion of the attachment clip. Fasten the Velcro securely.
4. Attach the attachment clip to the car seat or stroller.
5. For your child’s safety, when securing the attachment clip to a stroller bar or car seat, please use the additional fabric strap. Thread the strap through the slot on the attachment clip and secure the Velcro. Check to make sure the mobile is attached securely before use.

Rattle
1. Take the fabric strap from one of the plush bugs and thread it up through one of the slots on the flower portion of the attachment clip. Fasten the Velcro securely.
2. Attach the remaining plush bugs following the above instructions.
PRODUCT FEATURES
1. ON/OFF/MODE SELECTOR SWITCH
To turn the unit ON, slide the ON/OFF/ MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to the PLAY MODE ( ), 5 MINUTE MUSIC MODE ( ) or 10 MINUTE MUSIC MODE ( ) position. To turn the unit OFF, slide the ON/OFF/MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to the OFF ( )
position.
2. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
To preserve battery life, the VTech
®
Garden Bugs 2-in-1 Magic
Mobile™ will automatically power-down after approximately 30
seconds without input in the play mode position. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button. Please note, activating the motion sensor will not turn the unit back on.

ACTIVITIES
1. Slide the on/off/mode selector switch
to turn the unit on. You will hear a sing­along song and a fun phrase or sound effect, depending on the selected mode. The light will flash with the sound.
2. Press the light-up music button in
the play mode to hear a variety of sing­along songs, melodies and sounds. In the music mode, you will hear a variety of melodies that will play for the duration of the time setting. The light will flash with the sound.
3. Activate the motion sensor in the play
mode to hear a variety of sounds and music. In the music mode, you will hear a variety of sounds and short tunes. The light will flash with the sound.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source.
3. Remove the batteries when the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the program/activity stops working, please follow these steps:
1. Please turn the unit OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again.
5. If the product still does not work, replace with an entire set of new
batteries.
